These girls are terrific, and they sound as wonderful singing live. They won me over the very fist time I heard one of their songs.... They are superb! Many of today's celebrities should pack at least half of the talent these two exude! Talent like this does not happen often.

I think the lyric to the old song went "If you want to, you can turn me on to". They sound very Stevie Nicks so might be one of hers your thinking of.

This is a very nice song.... but i can't fight that feeling of somebody pushing them into pop ballands... i realy miss that slightly creepy and unique style of "secret" and "three wishes", the rock of "love you more" or the black humur of "stick&stones" or "i shot my lover" (which sadly never recorded)

Surely this will be the record to finally get them in to the UK mainstream singles chart. It's receiving some good radio airplay right now. They've produced some top quality singles over the past few years and have really been scandalously overlooked, although they probably don't appeal enough to 13 year-old girls who make up the majority of the record-buying public.
'fraid it wont - they will always be' niche', but they need to be 'niche' with something worth being 'niche' for (they have the talent). If you try and 'adapt' to the market (compromising on your quality) to inch your way in - it seldom works.
Sometimes 'being niche' is the price you pay for people like me liking your stuff. (I mean REALLY rating it). But will it make you rich.?

I really don't like this flip book feel, it makes them look newbish and rather lazy. At least the other one had a little bit of narrative, and I liked the tribal theme they were going for. Here it's going with a God / Lord of the Universe with some funky chicken dancing.

The stars, the planetary orbs, the lightning, the moon, the stereotypical ''spirit animals'', the ''tie-dye-ish'' colours, the digital print galaxy dress, the kaleidoscopic patterns, the ''retro'' overlay effects....all these things have been done to ABSOLUTE death in recent pop music imagery/marketing.
I'm pretty shocked to see this level of phoned-in unoriginality here actually. What kind of lame duck, severely-lacking-in-ideas stylists and directors are working with these two genuine talents? Ladies, you deserve better than this copyist schlock! Truly.
And if this was you two's idea, I strongly suggest a rethink moving onwards. This is not going to help you garner the attention and caliber of audience that your music might deserve. It's not even a neutral kind of thing...anything at this level of yawn-inducing reconstitution will actively work against you.
Anyhow, I don't say any of this to be needlessly harsh. I want The Pierces to succeed to their fullest possible potential.
And I do very much like the song. Well done ;)

Shame they’re not together making music as a duo anymore as their music was great!!
I like this song, but they have really missed the boat with these ''cosmic'' visuals.
That whole trend is dying (or dead), as it should be. It has now become much too generic and rehashed to represent a group and sound as relatively fresh feeling as theirs is. It reeks of lack of visual inspiration and as such doesn't show them in the best or most interesting possible light.
Hopefully they'll realize this before the next video.
