I had my pro dry suit for years and I love it, thinking to get an insulated suit, still deciding the new guide insulated or challenger insulated, what do you think? do they have the same warmth?
I go catfishing a lot from the bank and I was curious how these might stand up to some Breyers or Thorn bushes well hiking in to the spot? I'm completely blind so while walking behind my buddy I get caught up sometimes LOL
Standard zipped pocket... internal material feels like Nylon but stay worm with the Primaloft Insulation. Also have draw strings in the pockets to tighten waist to stop wind rom creeping up your back.
@@JPDeRoseOutdoors gotcha, I think after doing further research on the jacket I think the biggest deal breaker is the lack of cargo pockets for ice fishing tackle and tools. Having handwarmer pockets are a huge must for. I’m currently using a drake waterfowl jacket, the handwarmer pockets on that are beauties.
How is it for sizing. I can be in between medium and Large. I have a CX rain jacket in L and in my opinion it runs big. I wish I would have got medium. What would you recommend for the challenger series? Do they also run large like the CX line?
I have same issue. A Challenger jacket in Medium fits me perfectly, as does the bib. I then got the insulated bib in medium and it was like a clown suit - way too big! I'm 5'11" 42/32 chest/waist. I normally fit a medium tolarge in most clothing. Simms gear all runs big, but the insulated runs almost two sizes big.
Wish it had neoprene cuffs. I guess more for warmth only and not rain. What do you recommend for the warmest boots. Thank you.

Haven’t worn the guide insulated but the Challenger insulated is super warm! I absolutely love it

They are pretty tough but I'm honestly not sure how the material will hold up. The knees are extra tough areas.
I'm in Chicago area and ice fish in single digit weather do you think the bibs are good enough for this?
I find them incredibly warm, even up here in Canada!
What does the lower cargo pocket configuration on the jacket look like? Handwarmer pockets?

They run big as well. For all suits I wear a large but I wear XL for sweaters and tees

@@mauricetoussaint7283 Yeah, I think it's to allow room to layer up underneath without constricting yourself
