Thanks for this, really useful. Would you say you’re carrying most or all of your food, or would you expect to find the occasional meal or snack along the way?
No prob Catherine, thought it might help some people out! That really depends on the hike and the length I'm going for. My general rule is to always carry a little more food than I think I need. For the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, this stretched to 4 or 5 days. It's very rare to go longer than this, especially in the UK, without finding any food options, cafes, supermarkets etc. Often I buy food items like instant pasta and porrdige oats for a whole trip but then but flapjacks or chocolate bars and other snacks as I go along as they're easier to find :)
No trowel ...... should allways have a small folding trowel mate. Bury your 💩✌🏽
I personally don’t think it’s worth the extra weight. Using a rock to dig a deep hole does the trick! Might take a little longer but at least it saves on weight haha
@@mattwalkwild6784 I’m a bike packer so every gram counts and the trowel I have it small and doesn’t honestly weight that much , digging holes with rocks is not ideal if there ain’t any rocks now is it 😹
