- Welcome back to our first home in London - follow our victorian renovation diaries where we are doing all things DIY. Today we are knocking down the load bearing wall between our lounge and dining room to make two rooms one room. It was a LOT harder than we expected, but now it's done and we are thrilled. Cannot wait to start decorating!!!

Guys hats off to you! That looked insane!
It was a real shock to the system haha! Feels like such a mini-milestone though
Love this vlog though
This is hilarious 🤣 😆 😂 the line you want me to do what??? 😆 🤣 Honestly you all did so well to take this part on yourself. I look forward to seeing next week's video
Glad you enjoyed it 😂 It was the most stressful day but we got there in the end hahaha
Man like Martin! Machine
I liked Tom’s daddy joke hahah
Excellent video but my gosh the lack of steel toe cap boots had my heart going. Respect for all that effort
My anxiety levels here 📈📈📈 Luckily nobody got hurt but it definitely wasn’t our smartest move
Hi there. I'm a new friend from Garrett LeChic's channel. I am working on my house also, but I don't have nearly as much work as you do. I enjoyed your video and I am on to see the next
Welcome! Glad you enjoyed. Good luck with your house too!
Oh baby
Health and Safety? Hilarious!
Hahaha no such thing in our house!
We are doing this shortly and I would like to ask what was the wall made out of upstairs I.e directly above the one you removed ? As I think ours is brick all the way up and the avrò stands won’t support the top wall when we remove the wall below
The upstairs wall was made from bricks too. This will be factored in when designing the size of the beam needed. The acro props are there to support the joists and the brick wall above.
@@FeedbyAutumn thank you! Interesting. So it was not a continuous wall then ? As that is what I am worried about that nothing will support that wall. If they are separate walls and the one upstairs is build on top of the floorboards then I can see how it will all be supported by the acro props
Im going to working on my own renovation, can i ask where you ordered the steel beam from?
We ordered from Structural Steel Ltd based in Lea Bridge. They were pretty clued up on what fabrications were needed too
Is that the slack line I bought you???????
Hahahahahahahahah
It is indeed - honestly this slack line has come in use in more ways than you could ever know
