- Welcome! These clips are from a large video collection that is now being converted from VHS/Beta to digital many from the 70's, 80's and 90's. If I know the original air date/year I will post it.
There is some viewing quality loss from the original video source due to the age of the tapes, but the performances are preserved and still a joy to view. I'm finding many lost performances from vintage R&B, Soul, Pop, Broadway, Cabaret and other performances. This channel will be the Ed Sullivan channel for the digital generation, something for everyone to enjoy. Many of the performances will be seen for the first time since they were originally televised. I will be adding many musical performances from a variety of sources that I hope you will enjoy. Rudik, el mejor, más bello, su estrella sigue luciendo con la misma fuerza que él tenía. El día 6 día de los Reyes Magos, se fue y nos dejó tristes, pero su brillo y esplendor le podemos seguir viendo en sus videos. Rudi, espero que estes bailando con tus dioses.

Why on earth has someone ruined this by setting it to the wrong music (and trashy music too) when the right music is the Balcony Scene from Prokofiev’s “Romeo and Juliet? This is Merle Park and Rudolf Nureyev as Juliet and Romeo in Kenneth MacMillan’s famous 1965 choreography; and this would be a rare recording of this cast had the music not been wrecked. Park and Nureyev were each among the four casts of lovers when MacMillan’s ballet was new, originally with other partners, but sometimes together as here (I saw them dance it twice in January 1977, replacing Antoinette Sibley and Anthony Dowell).

I agree with every word that you have said.
I shall always remember them together in Nureyev's wonderful production of The Nutcracker.
I still cherish the pair of pointe shoes she gave to me after a performance at Covent Garden on 22 October 1975 when she danced Juliet with Mikhail Baryshinkov,and remembering the massive flower throw at their curtain calls.
They were wonderful evenings that I shall never forget.

This is from the very strange Tom Jones London Bridge Special. It's a version of the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet to different music for some bizarre reason. And of course Rudolf and Merle are stunning anyway.
This is the wrong music. It's the balcony pas de deux from Romeo and Juliet by Prokofiev. Shame as this film is new to me.

Это же из Ромео Джульетта, сцена на балконе. Поставили какую то бездарную музыку. Зачем это сделали, не понимаю. Там же гениальная музыка Прокофьева.

Кому пришло в голову наложить эту жуткую ,безвкусную музыку на гениальную музыку Прокофьева. Испортили все. Хотя их дуэт совершенен ни смотря на это безобразие.
