Thank You for the video. We have a 2019 Rav4 and for the rear mud flaps the holes, "B" and "C", already had impressions on them so I used a small pick tool (maybe 4 millimeters / 1/16") and pushed the tool through. The only trouble I had was that I used the "flat headed" machine screws on the front mud flaps instead of the bolts and had to remove the (2) flat headed screws (that go on the back flaps) and put the "bolted" screws on the bottom of the front mud flaps. Thank You again for posting the video. I bought these from the dealer and they were like $119 for all 4 and included the fasteners and printed instructions. You made it easier for the rest of us.
FYI, there are dimples molded into the rear wheel trim where the two screws and J nuts will be located. They’re a bit hard to see, so wiping down the area with a damp rag makes them more visible. Just means you can pretap those holes and then just install the mud flap without having to partially install them to get the screw location. Other than that one tip, great video!
Thank you so much! I was able to install my RAV4 mudflaps myself & it was actually very easy. (Except where I had to back track, (you should have cut that part from your video) otherwise it was a very informative video. Thanks again!
@@installsandpitfalls at 4:40 you comment that you need to slide the "J nuts" on before attaching the back mudflap, but you had already instructed how to put the back mudflap on. (I just had to back up a couple steps and start again.) I still very much appreciate the video!
@@denalamb7368 sorry I wasn't more clear, I think it was super cold that night and I probably forgot 😂 again, thank you for watching and congrats on the install
You wouldn't happen to have part numbers or links to any of the rivets and screws would you? My rear driver mudguard is loose and hanging on by one or 2 of those little rivets lol.
Very clear instructions. appreciate it. Can you please tell what is this L-shaped screw-drive nut called? I need to buy this one to install my mudguards. Thank you!
I found the instructions helpful, but I could not get the pins back into the holes 😢 You really made it look much easier than it was for me. I am going to take my car into the Toyota dealership and have them finish this project.
Did you look inside the hole before you try to push those pins back in? There could be an object or an older broker pin inside not allowing you to get the pins back in. Try to use a flat head screw instead. Avoid dealerships they charge a lot and this is a simple job. Watch more videos related to Mud Guards/flaps installation. This video was clear and helpful as well.
Lol, yeah I had the same problem never having removed one before and I&I doesnt make reinstallation clear. You've got to pull the pin out of the base to get the legs squeezed back in the hole, then push the pin in to lock. Here's a video which shows how it works...ruclips.net/video/ChFfrbrbHhA/видео.html
FYI I was reusing parts like you and realized I had more parts in the kit. Found another video that explained it. Fronts come with new push pins. Rears use another clip and screw in the top position and not the push pin
@@installsandpitfalls Thank you for the response, but the mud flaps didn't fit on my rav4 trd. i thought it'll fit cos there isnt much diff with the 2022 rav4 trims

Glad to have helped and thank you for watching 👍🏻
For easier access to the mudflaps area, turn the wheels of the car
That works as well 👌🏼
how do u turn the rear wheel lol
Thank You! I now feel more confident to do it on my C. Cross.
Awesome! Thanks for watching
Thanks for the vid - just got a Prime a couple weeks ago and installed these today, very helpful to have this vid to reference!
Awesome! And congrats on your new ride 😎

I'm glad you were able to get it done, congratulations. Can you let me know which part made you backtrack? Thanks

Just the 2 plastic ”rivets” push pins?
@@installsandpitfalls those and the screws if possible

Thanks for the vid, sweet install!!!
Thanks Michael!
THANKS FOR GREAT 👍VIDEO and HELPED FULLY !!!😍😍😍
Did you have to drill holes for the back mud flaps? I do not have holes for the screws?
They have the inserts to screw into already there, you just have to screw through the mudflap, it has an indentation for the screw
Thanks for sharing. Did you check the impact on this on gas mileage? I've heard mpg drops a bit with these in place
We've noticed no difference in MPG. Thanks for watching!!

will i be able to install it with screwdriver? Thanks
Hi, yes you can install the hardware with a Phillips screwdriver, I just used the red impact with a socket to go faster.

What are the sizes of the screws?
I'm not exactly sure as the length, but if I remember correctly they had a 10mm head
👍 Awesome buddy... Thanks you for your video!
You're welcome, glad it helped 👍🏻
Do you have to drill any holes in the body of the car?
Yes, you have to screw in a couple
Thank you!

I think it's to short.
It worked pretty well for us, but we don't get into a bunch of mud around here
whats that tool called?
Hi, it's a 90 degree drive for hex bits. I'll see if I can find the link, it's super handy for a ton of applications
