I really appreciate you showing different uses and contexts for this gorgeous instrument. I have no musical experience and am considering one of these. Just trying to pick a scale which is a little intimidating for me. I would be using it mostly for meditative play but I want to learn the techniques to play it more percussively. At first I was actually just looking at different hand drums with really no melodic aspect but man.. these and hand pans have me in a trance
Excellent comparisons! I have a B Celtic minor and am trying to decide which scale to get next. I'm also trying to decide to get another RAV or a handpan. Do you have any insights on that? I got a RAV first because I wanted a more meditative vibe. I love my RAV but am ready for another scale or a handpan.
Thank you so much❤ I'm going to buy my first RAV! I am thinking between B curd and B double-ding 432.👉👈 I learned harmony. But my other instruments are tuned at 432 hertz. Can you recommend something? Please 😭🙏
@@ReWildYourSoul interesting 🤔 so that's why the notes are titled sideways.... Thanks so much for sharing. I own the Celtic B minor 432 HZ and almost all of the notes are titled sideways. Wanted to make sure it wasn't from negligence when it was made!!!
Your playing is wonderful but please don't say that you 'teach." I gave you quite a bit of time and learned nothing. You sped into playing without any teaching or guidance at all.
Having reread that: You do realize this isn’t a lesson, This is just a scale review? I teach full time, so I have tons of free material on every scale. You will love it!
what gen is this? 2nd 4th or 5th?
This is a 3rd gen. So the next generation after the first Rav Vasts. Though the current. Gen sounds just like these!
What reason are some of the notes tilted sideways like notes 1,2 and 4???
@@MOAON_AABE depending on the scale, to help with cross talk! The same way handpan notes aren as well. It helps keeps the isolated from eachother.
@@ReWildYourSoul when you say Cross talk, do you mean it keeps the notes from interfering with one another???
@@MOAON_AABE correct! If a Bb and a B are near eachother, they can cause the other to be dissonant

@@MOAON_AABE Nope! They are all made exactly alike for the last 8 years, so there are no deviations in style. enjoy it my friend!

We’ve never worked together! But I would love to. Feel free to be in touch!
