We live less than 30 miles from the coast so always enjoy a coastal walk, especially in an area I have not been too before. That was a pretty ambitious hike (well for an old sod like me anyway) but great scenery along the way, plenty of interest to keep you going but I would have hated all those steps. Just about to say 'love the moody skies' and then they opened but good to see you were well prepared, cheers Alan
That sounds amazing, A coastal walk on a nice day is very special, I did get soggy but it was warm rain. I was happy to push for the 26 miles but not once I learnt it was actually 36.. would have been dark when I got back and I would have probably been miserable haha I was not prepared for that distance.
I enjoyed this vlog , thank you , I know from some experience that level bits of the SWCP are very few and far between !!! , I enjoyed seeing Thatchers Rock again , I have looked at it from the land many times .
Another great video! You really covered a lot of the south west coast path in these trips but still so much more to see! The south west coast path is definitely longer than maps say! I walked the city to sea marathon Exeter to Babbacombe last month was supposed to be 26 miles turned out to be 28.5 miles 😂. Keep up the hiking 😊
Yep.. the kind of holiday that you need a holiday from when you get back 😛 I love it.. i don’t know what else I’d do if it wasn’t for hiking / adventuring .. the seaside villages and towns are nice for an hour or 2 but then I’ve got to explore. Just another 2.5 miles stuck on the end of the marathon .. that’s cruel 🤣 Thankyou 🙃
Born in Chesterfield, lived in Torquay, now back in Chesterfield. Much prefer the Peak District, but did think you were a little optimistic to get to Shaldon 😅
@@barefoot_ventures true. I'm assuming you're a fellow northerner? Whenever I'm dahn south, I expect to talk to locals, but end up meeting people from a few miles from where I live😂
Its funny I've lived in south Devon since 1995 and you forget what a beautiful place I live even though I take the dog to Teignmouth and Dawlish beach every day.
Wouldn't be a hike without a bit of rain. Yeah, that would have been far too far. Thanks for the upload.
😁😁 it would in the dark.. not fun!
lovely walk ,that's a decent distance to cover. costal walk can be pretty tough 👍💚
Yeh it was an all day walk, but honestly.. delish! Loved every second of it.. called for dinner on the way back and then to bed! The perfect day! 🥰
Very beautiful country side and always nice to see you enjoying a swim after a long walk💕

Oh so just a wee hike then 😂! Love it and always done with such a gorgeous smile 😁. I’ve got a lot of training to do if I ever wish to keep up 😊!
Haha.. yeh just a little one, wouldn’t have fancied twice that in the dark though 🤣🤣

Hahahaa!! Especially with the hours of daylight I’d got left 🤣
I don’t know how you do it; I walked from Paignton to Torquay, one way, and was knackered. Lol
Hahaha.. practice 😆

The path at 6:58 where exactly is that? i walk around there all the time and I don't recognise that.
I couldn’t tell you exactly but I didn’t venture far at all from the coast path so between the 2 points?!
@@barefoot_ventures I just realised I put the wrong time down. I actually meant the path shown at 5.50

It’s definitely easier to take what’s on your doorstep for granted as you see it every day so it becomes normal.. it’s a lovely part of the country 🥰
