Thank you Donna for a beautiful video. I have lived in the Torquay area for all of my life so it was fascinating to see your take on so many familiar things but also some which I have never seen before which just goes to prove how a local can take so much for granted !!

Thanks for showing London bridge! I had not heard of that before, and it reminds me of Durdle Door. Which for the record I haven't seen yet either 😂

Crikey! That was some walk Louise! I have done it in bits - and I know just how steep those ups and downs to the beaches and coves are, particularly Babbacombe Beach. But, oh so beautiful! Well worth the effort. You had a great weather. I learnt two things from your video - I did not know about the terrible tragedy that happened in St. Marychurch - or that that arch was called 'London Bridge'! Fascinating and beautiful video. Awesome! 😊 PS I loved the piano piece of music that you used - gorgeous.

Thank you Paul! Yes, it’s a good distance and gradient walk and definitely worth while for the views. The weather was just the best! ☀️☀️☀️☀️ Such a sad tragedy in St Marychurch and very movingly marked at the commemorative knitted exhibits I came across.
The first time that I saw that natural arch I wanted to know how to get there from Torquay. I did not realise how close it was. I believe you can do sunset boat trips out there from Paignton which I would love to do one day.

Meadfoot beach, the Osborne hotel terrace for a drink and daddy hole is my favourite on this walk👍 when next in area if you want a challenging walk go from berryhead to kingswear a good 10 miler but stunning with plenty of things to see!

@@SouthWestSundays you will love it Berry head is a brilliant place to start, the scenery stunning and you will pass the Battery gardens near Kingswear from the Second World War, the day mark tower and the back entrance to coleton fishacre, if quiet you can sneak in for free, even a nudist beach😂, also the lovely man sands on the first part of walk . Finally some beautiful houses and the lovely Kingswear to finish for a much needed drink at the steam packet and then either back to Paignton/Brixham on bus or straight on the steam train or perhaps if any energy left over to Dartmouth on the ferry. Just be mindful it’s a very challenging walk👍

I need to visit This part of the south west again. Love that you called out Babbacome Model Village - it really is gorgeous, especially at night (best to time entry on illumination nights (basically Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout July and August so you can go around once in daylight and then again once the sun goes down.
The walk to Torquay looked very picturesque and loved the little diversions you took, really interesting to see the London Bridge 😁

Thanks Jesse! It’s such a lovely area to visit! I would love to see it at night when it’s illuminated. I went there donkeys years ago with my grandparents and there must be so many more models there now. It was amazing way back then, I recall. I think a a revisit is definitely called for.
I hope you get the opportunity to visit too!

Wow what a revelation. The next time I get on the bus at Babbacombe to go down into Torquay, I will have to really choose my words carefully when telling the bus driver where I want to go.
