- Ben and Lois are back on their route along the South West Coast Path. This time they're heading through Land's End and on to St Ives! Along the way they wild camp and give advice that you might need along the trail.

Looks like it's easy to wildcamp even if it's not really allowed. I was worried if I could but you don't even try to hide or set up and leave in the dark hahaha! thanks for showing what I can expect this summer😍
You two are so great together. What an awesome video and such a beautiful place on Earth.Thank you for taking us along on your holiday adventure.
Really enjoyed the watch, walked the SWCP over many years. Feel so lucky to be Cornish, away walking for the next few days near Burgh Island , oddly bought myself another osprey rucksack a 25lt . Yesterday … super blog
It is so inspiring to watch you walk. i was there once 20 years ago and it was just as beautiful as you had it there. When I went swimming there were waves several metres high and the coast guards had put up flags 5 metres apart between which you were allowed to enter the water. I will never forget those huge waves. You really have it good! Many greetings, Michael (from Germany)
Hey Ben and Lois,
Great video! Beautiful scenery.
I have the EXOS 38L Osprey pack and admittedly, it doesn’t have a lot of use but it hasn’t started to squeak……yet. I agree, fantastic packs!, but if it starts squeaking I think I’m going to be a bit upset like Lois, lol!
If you can find exactly where the squeak is coming from, a sprinkle of baking Soda might fix the problem. Sounds silly I know but I works.
Great video, stay safe
Cheers
If you get in to Truro drop me a message I’ll treat you to a tea. I’m loving your channel. Can’t wait to get walking probably again and walk the path.
Lovely video and I can’t wait now for a few weeks and I’ll be walking the SWCP in Cornwall too. I wild camp on Dartmoor (in their allowed areas) but was a bit worried about the SWCP having walked parts of it and wondered how you do it. Thanks for the great tips, it has reassured me 🙂
Absolutely loved the vid, perfectly matched couple, enjoying a well earned break, and still informing the viewer about checking for ear wigs…..!
Great video guys, stunning scenery plus loads of rock pools to collect winkels nom nom 👍
Regards
Davy
I could not imagine doing that bit from Mousehole to Lamorna on my first day of the SWCP! That bit definitely does not break you in gently haha!
Excellent. It’s a rocky path and undulating isn’t it. Great film. 🏕
What a team you two are. Really enjoyed watching that one. Going up is hard but the decents I find are harder still. I learned very quickly, not to be embarrased about using walking poles. They really do help. So I get it when you lost one, was it not repairable, even as a temporary fix? Thanks for taking us with you. Paul.
Hi Ben and Lois I have enjoyed your trek to St Ives thank you very much I have enjoyed following your it was very good the way you put it together what I have seen put to together by others you will enjoy it regards David Chave
Great video as always! I have that same Osprey pack and love it. So comfortable, but mine also has the squeek! I don't know how to get rid of it either. BTW, please make a kukri!
What a great week you had, my birth town is Penzance but grew up away from there. Lived in Cornwall forever, will love it for longer. Great upload, enjoyed every step.
Hello! Thank you for sharing your adventure with us. Would you ever consider or recommend wild camping in a cove such as the one you visited at 17:38? Far back from the water of course. Or, is there too great a risk of high tide or landslides?
So pleased you enjoyed it.
Sleeping on a beach is great but not always quiet as the waves do get loud when your trying to sleep but I have done it over the years but not normally with a tent but just a bivy bag as less impact to other users.
I would be very careful sleeping in a cove as high tides and landslides is a big risk.
If sleeping on a beach make sure you have a clear space behind you and certainly no cliffs or outcrops above you. Hope that helps. Always think about the worst case scenarios when setting up anywhere to camp.
cheers Ben
@@BenOrford Thank you!! Great advice.

Thank you for sharing your hiking adventure! What phenomenal landscape!
Great video folks & lovely to see you both out & about enjoying life & your time together ❤️
Lovely to get immersed in the video...I feel like I've been on a little holiday. Thank you.
Loved the video, looks like a great trail! Ever done any hiking around Cork in Ireland?
Lovely scenery. Defo a route to do one day. Glad you both had fun.
For what it’s worth I could not hear the squeak on the video.
Beautifully filmed. How lucky you were to see that adder.
What was the make and model of the pole that snapped? Carbon?
Sure it was a Leki Carbon Fiber one.
Not cheap either 😥
@@BenOrford yer I'm very weary of going carbon fibre tbh
Mine were cheap Ali ones from Lidl or Aldi but no complaints so far
I've broken too many carbon fishing rods to trust it for hiking poles I think
Love these outings.
Thankyou.
