- Dyno ran. Boost was pushing over 30 psi, had to put the stock pulley back on the supercharger. Boost 22. Dyno put down 691 rwp/671 torque. Fix boost leak and finish tomorrow.

Very cool 🤙 I have a twin charged project going myself a bbc 396 but i haven't fired it yet. Im going to run just the supercharger for a couple months to get numbers then I'll bolt on the gt45s and have some fun. The tow rig is a twin compound (4 turbos) setup in an 85 suburban.

Stock internals. Didn’t want to push it too hard till I built the motor. Motor is now built, will be having new higher hp Dyno coming. But thanks for commenting!

I’m going over in my head if there is a way to set up the internal bypass of the supercharger to work almost in the opposite manner, and let positive pressure from the turbos (pre supercharger) pass through after the turbos spool. I’ve got a 99 and an Eaton swap kit, most of it anyways. Compound boost seems like a lot of fun if you can make them work together. Whatever vacuum runs the bypass, I wonder if it could be made to open when the turbos could take over?
That is the issue. I am currently at 805 wheel and the supercharger is at full help. Any more boost and it hinders. I will be gutting the supercharger when I get the motor back and put together. Cams, headwork and diamond pistons coming along with the process.

@C03bra thats a pretty good idea. Would you use the snout and pulley still and have it as an idler? Or just use the 01 cobra belt routing?
I gotta be honest. I was expecting a lot more. You could get that with a pulley change and a cam. It sounds nice tho
not sure what the point of twin turbos is… seems like it would be better with one large turbo. Use the blower for instant power and to drive air spooling one large turbo faster. The overall system would be lighter and simpler.
I would d thought it would have made a lot more horsepower than it did.
Was first pulls. Ran out of fuel. Now pushes 900 to the wheels. Motor out again getting heads and cams. 1200 whp goal.
DOHC V8 with a roots blower and two turbos... Nothing quite like the sound of that to get your blood flowing

Would look nice inside my Lincoln Mark VIII. I’m guessing you’re using a WAC (cast) block, the Marks had the Teksid (forged) which made Shleby consider the 4.6

The true term for this type of build is called "compound boosting" not twin charged.

Sorry to be a Debbie downer, but unless that 'Max Power' is 683kw vs HP, that is not impressive. You're a missing about 200hp somewhere, my guess would be engine management and a tune. There are videos of Cobra's with just a stage 2 Roush's getting near same numbers. My 96' R33 Skyline had 450rwhp, 14lbs of boost with nothing but a dump pipe, 4 core intercooler and a boost bi-pass. You have to more cylinders, two turbos and a blower, something seems off here. 🤔🧐🔎

All that for 700hp? Oof run bigger turbos man. A 2.3 VMP supercharger can get 800 out with no lag.
What if thats what they are comfortable with? 700 is really good in a svt cobra, its not like a hellcat thats really heavy but it isnt really light like a civic its in between, 400 hp from factory, a little bump up to 700 is the optimal thing to do anyway😅
@@firstandlast4 the problem is there are no pros. Only cons. Pure cons. More things to break, more maintenance, more money. You don’t get a good sound. I was simply stating it’s a waist for such little power. A big single turbo forged internals, better oil pump and you can get 1500 out of these cars and engine. It’s just odd. There are no pros to this system. Hence why no one really does it.
