One of my earliest students eventually caught up to my rank and taught classes alongside me. Another was a massive teenage hothead who's temper constantly got her into fights at school, a few weeks later and her demeanour cooled right down, she stopped getting into fights and her grades started improving. Just a couple examples that made all the hardship worthwhile.
