Thank you for offering the map and experience for free.
I looked in the app today and it is no longer free :)
Incredible- this is what the OB community is all about. Kent and Bob, thank you for sharing your experience.
I just ran this route; thank you for a very clear route. Many of the camping spots marked in the free route were very helpful in finding camping during the trip. I would only add a side trip to Red Cone Trail, which is Southeast of Silverthorne, CO. If you are in a midsize truck or smaller, do not take any trailers on that trail due to some very tight parts in the trees.
Kent & Bob did an amazing job. The trip was once-in-a-lifetime!
I've done AZBDR, CABDR, UTBDR and NVBDR, this will be the ultimate three week off-road adventure. GPX track downloaded, now for the planning.
thank you gentlemen such a huge contribution to the community. Safe Travels
Incredibly aspirational. This is what it’s about.
We just did the continental divide too!
Thank you for taking all the time to put this together for everyone!!
It is so true how weird things happen in remote areas. I've come across people all over, where they've needed a little help or whatever, randomly. One time it ended up happening to me, I was riding my 701 remote in Utah, somehow just drank all of my water, was just not doing well in the head, guy in an 80 series, gave me a bunch of water for my camelback. I don't remember his name, but man thanks a ton dude. Mind you, I was living at the time in Havasu, I'm notorious for having extra water, and I just ended up going through all of it. Glad you guys found those mountain bikers, being thirsty is horrible.
OB# 20074....this one is definitely on our list of to-do, also. We will run it to Tuk, then come back down into AK for a couple of months before winding down the Pacific Overland Trail, toward Baja.
Thank You for the hard work you guys did for the community.
This is on my bucket list for sure!
The term "overlanding" gets so overused. Definitely not in this case...truly epic!
Wholly Cow, Kent smiled!
Amazing. Im gonna have to check out the CDT in Wyoming. Born and raised in Wyo.
My 5 year old son and I just finished the “motorcycle” purchased route and we had a great time but the whole time I felt like we missed so many of the great site to see. Now I’m planning a redo. Thank you guys!
Great video. Really respect these guys giving out the info and telling people they can do it on their own. Fantastic.
What a awesome video! Especially all the great knowledge that they are willing to give away! Thanks again and hope your able to do more similar videos.
Oh okay! I'm a urban boondocker but I'm intrigued.
Of course you had to get a bear claw at the Merc! I've been working on mapping out a route, based on the motorcycle info, and have driven some of it, to just south of Helena. Been up the North Fork Flathead dozens of times and have a picture of the GPS sowing I'm in British Columbia, but the signs and gate show I'm still in Montana. Loved it, looking forward to perusing the map and camp sites.
Excellent - moving close to the top of the list! Thanks for your efforts…
OB23903….definitely thinking of trying this! Thanks for sharing track!
Thank You so,so much. Great organization, every overlander should become a member. 21998
Thanks!!!!!!!
Great video, would love to do this trip when I am entering USA from Europe. Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱❤️🇺🇸✌️👍💪👌🥇
Love this & the OB communit! CDT will be on my tick list.
All I can say is…..awesome.
Sounds like such a cool trip, glad they had fun!
First let me start off by saying thank you for sharing! Such a wonderful experience to do something like this and then to share it with others, thank you! My question to you is, how would you compare the CDT with the TAT? Do you think the are comparable? Or do you think one is more challenging than the other? Thanks again, and I’m downloading your app as well!!
Loved the content of this video. My bucket list of trails now includes the CDT. Looking forward to getting the track provided by Kent & Bob, curious to see where the track may be in close proximity to the BDR for NM and CO. Thank you Bob and Kent for sharing your experience on the CDT and information.
Hey Mikey! I really enjoyed the video. Cheers, Mate.
Hats off... Great video!
Awesome, I can't wait to do this
Man, all that mud weight on the trailer...I can't help but think a set of rock tamers could help a ton with that. Cool trip. Definitely adding it to my list. 🍻
Traveling in an F250-D, pop-up 4W Camper with a Overland Trailer for Pontoon Boat and other. With new tires on the trailer, GlueTred sidewall repair, plug kit, internal tire sealant and a pump, can I get by without a trailer spare tire? Those who have done the Divide, what tire damage did you actually incur? Any opinions welcome.
Sounds like an awesome adventure 👍
Well done.👍
Could you do this in a Jeep Trailhawk? (32" tires) (12" clearance) Or would you need to take a few bypasses? (if so, where would you run into problems)
-Thanks (Joined Overland Bound, but have a specific question)
Awesome!
Interesting as we are doing our GladiatorOverland #19000 Veteran Suicide trip starting in August from Colorado up to Prudhoe Bay then back down all the to Cabo San Lucas and back up to Utah. Would love this track to see if it will fit in partly or a good way along what we want to hit along the way over our 3’month trip in our gladiator. Very cool though guys well done.
In the future I'd recommend trying harder to get Kent's good side but I'm sure that's asking a lot.
Had a similar experince on the Washington BDR. OB group. Everybody had their assignments with gear and such, so we didn't have to haul 8 Highlift jacks, but the GAIA route was out of this world. Input from SME's from every segment, multiple bailouts, bypasses, more narrated waypoints than i have ever seen. It took about 2 months of networking to get the map done, but it was amazing
🙋🏾♂️ Hello everyone, just have a question and maybe I'm dumb but I could not find the CDT map on the app or the site. Any help?
From the map, search ‘CDT’. It will bring up the trail
Looks like you have to be a member. Free to everyone. Sounds like click bait.
The route description is not listed? Where do I find it in the App?
Good video:)
Yay!
I subbed and I got the app but the app doesn’t do anything just the logo suggestions?
I only gives you that info if you pay for the annual junk. If you want the GPX file, reach out to rob on Instagram. He has been more than helpful and is a great guy.
@@BluejaySimpson Can you share his handle on IG please...
Where did you start
best time of the year to do something like this?
Did you ever get this question answered?
Is that a mummy on the top shelf?
One day…
First!
A great video and recap of what must have been a most enjoyable trip. I totally agree that one of the highlights of any trip is meeting all the different people! Given your comment on the challenges would you dissuade a solo rig travel the route?
Stop commenting on other channels attempting to gain clicks. It turns people away from your channel. It comes across as oily and disingenuous.
