MikeVonDoom agreed. One of the few I can listen to for hours. Cattle Decapitation and Internal Bleeding are two others. Not sure if Despised Icon fits in this genre but their old shit had some death grooves that likened to DF too.
I'm pretty sure this is my favourite Fetus track. Grotesque Impalement as an EP in general. And a few of them are covers but they totaly sound like Fetus.

Remember an evening in the early 2000s with Kataklsym (more old school, less melodic😁), Cryptopsy, these guys and Vader... And we (the audience) were also a little bit more motivated and active 😉 was good sports.
I just started kinda getting into these guys like a year ago... Def looking forward to the new album! Cattle Decapitation is still the best tho lol...!
After all these years with younger bonkers tech blaster beaters in death metal I feel Trey is a bit unsung. On point, groovy, good technique, swivel goodness...one of my favorite drummers by far.

when i saw them i was air drumming, trey looked at me and smiled , that made my day already than it had been made.
