Can't believe it !!! I wrote my comment on the Canelo v Lara Post Fight literally seconds before I clicked "Play" on this video. Unbelievable. Dwyer is clearly contradicting my thesis on that particular comment. I have to hold my hands up and say that a fair amount of my respect for you has been restored. You need to listen to the BBC’s “Hurricance tapes” - has a lot of new info. Including a name of a person much more likely to have committed the murders
What about the possibility that Carter was a participant/involved in the crime on some level but didn't physically fire the shots? It's clear as a bell he had knowledge of/involvement in it but maybe John Artis or some 'other' person actually did the shooting?
It is a strong possibility. Elwood Tuck and Eddie Rawls were identified by a female witness as being involved whose testimony was not utilized by the prosecution or the defense as she was viewed as a witness detrimental to both. To the prosecution because she claimed to have a mental block that prohibited her from remembering any of the events and to the defense, because she also stated that Carter and Artis were there as well. There was also a taxi driver that gave information about picking up this same woman soon after the crime and she was extremely emotional saying that a man put a gun in her purse and she was scared. There was a report done on her statements by the state in the second trial.
Police also initially saw 2 cars, Carter's and a dark colored car following Carter's vehicle on the streets that night. Check out Cal Deal's sight on this case, there is a lot of information, as well as the court case findings as well, which is public record.

I research famous criminal cases as a hobby, and this was one of them. The circumstantial evidence was overwhelming, there was no alibi, and motive was established.

Carter, for whatever reason, had been drinking aftershave. Out of his mind he pounded Kelley's head in. She had to eventually have her spleen removed. After smashing her Carter turned on her son and beat him severely.

You have convinced me. I like the Dylan song so much that I believed the conspiracy theory. It seems you also like the song as you continually use phrases from it. I am going to look into it, but I suspect Carter may fit the profile of a psychopath, which would be further evidence of his guilt. His juvenile delinquency (i.e. having stabbed someone when young) is suggestive of psychopathy, and, now I come to think of it, the film makes a very unconvincing attempt to present this stabbing as an act of self defence. I just looked at this interview (Rubin 'Hurricane' Carter Interview - 9/11/10) after five seconds it is clear that the man is a raging narcissist. He insists upon being called Doctor Rubin Carter and takes immediate control of the interview, which is very suggestive of psychopathy, as is his flamboyant style of dress. I am currently writing a book about psychopathy and have researched the topic in depth.

Dumbest thing I've ever heard. It doesn't matter if he did it or not. Carter didn't have to prove his innocence. The burden of proof lied with the prosecution. A guilty verdict must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt and supported by hard proofs. (like tire tracks on the crime scene, murder weapons, fingerprints, gunpowder residual on hands, etc.). Funny how clearly those intoxicated witnesses saw a fleeing car in the middle of the night, especially when the cops got Carter's car in their custody. Dwyer, you should be ashamed of yourself. RIP Hurricane Carter.
You’re wrong. Most cases are solved with circumstantial evidence. Also, the fact two independent witnesses ID’d his car within 5 minutes and the shells from the murder weapons were found said car is enough to throw away the key. Stop getting emotional. I liked the Dylan song too.
