Brilliant stuff Stepney 🙂. Excellent video. But seeing the enchanted steam engine was running backwards on the mainline, I always came under the impression it was dangerous for tender engines to go backwards fast 🤔. But a brilliant video all the same. Thanks for sharing it Stepney. Do take care 🙂. From your friend Foxy in Brighton, East Sussex, England, UK 🙂👍👍🙂.
Nice archive footage Steve. I used to visit relations in Ashton-under-Lyne as youngster in the 60s and had an Aunt who worked in Hollinwood, at an electrical firm called Ferranti. I never visited this station though on my trainspotting outings. Cheers, Jeff.
G'day Steve, that's some really nice footage. I looked at the date and realised that I was in England about 14 months earlier than that,... where does the time go?
@@stestepney Sorry I took a while getting back to you Steve, I fell asleep! When I arrived in England I headed to East Anglia to a little place called North Walsham and used it as a base to check out the area. Then to Yorkshire and up to Scotland. Then back down through the Midlands and down to Cornwall. We then spent the last two weeks in London . All up I had 3 months looking around,..it was a great time.
Just begun to learn this line on the Metrolink last week. Wish it was still like this haha!
