I wɑtched with greɑt ɑttention his technique ɑnd I liked it too much, I ɑm beginning in the ɑrt of the tie, here in Brɑzil fly fishing is becoming populɑr recently. Thɑnk you for posting such cool videos thɑt guide us ɑnd help us grow in sports.
Recently bumped into a fellow fly fisherman after yellows on the Orange. He is a really experienced yellowfish fly fisherman who absolutely swears by this fly! Good enough for me! Is there any chance that this fly might be for sale somewhere in South Africa?
@@pabloespinar9926 The placement of the eyes on the underside of the hook is important, but the rabbit strip actually adds to the balance by pulling up on the hook. :0)
Hi Trevor, Thanks a lot. The pattern is basically the same as the tube version (also on my RUclips Channel) except for the hooks. This is an old video, and I think I used a Tiemco stinger style hook. Today I tie this fly on Ahrex PR320 Predator Stinger Size 1 - 2/0. The pattern for the tube fly is right here: Easter Bunny - Tube Fly Hook: Ahrex HR431, HR440 or HR450 - double, treble or single according to conditions or local regulations Tube: Pro Sportfisher Pro Flexitube, Chartreuse Tread: White UTC 140 Palmerhackle: Schlappen, Fl. Chartreuse Body: Cactus Chenille, Olive Wing: Barred Rabbit Zonker, Fl. Yellow Eyes: Dumbbell eyes, Chartreuse Throat: Woolly Sparkle Dub, Campfire Redhead Legs: Sili Legs Barred, Fl. Chartreuse Tight lines, Michael
Hi Nate, Normally i use a 7or an 8 weight rod for these. Most important is choosing a weight forward line in a pike- or saltwater taper. Tight lines, Michael

Good to hear. I'm sure any local fly tyer will be able to tie this fly for you - using my description in the video. Cheers, Michael :0)
GREAT ty !!
Thanks a lot. Tight lines, Michael :0)
Hoy do you tie it with the hook pointing up or down?
I tie with the hook pointing down on this one, Pablo. I feel it balance the fly better, and make it run straight. Tight lines, Michael :0)
Michael Jensen thank you for the answer, but muy question was rather how do you manage that the hook point up or down? Is it about the eyes position?

That's a great looking fly, thank you for posting it. May I ask what size and type of hook you use. Thanks
