    Tip for those like me with older failing eyesight. Tie the leader onto the fly after tying. Loop to loop at end, much easier ! Great tie Davie .

      What is the angler's curse?

    • @steveg8322
      @steveg8322 Год назад

      @@HalfInsaneOutdoorGuy When trout feed on minuscule insects that at one time were too small for anglers to imitate.Hooks and leaders of the size needed to imitate midges just weren’t available back then.Anglers just left in disgust because in spite of seeing fish actively feeding they had no flies small enough or leaders strong enough to catch and hold midge feeding fish,hence the ‘Angler’s Curse’.

    I just got off the Provo River here in utah. I caught four fish but only on the tiniest of flies! Like size 24 to 30. I used a fly called a "no-see-um" at the advice of the folks at fly fish food. The problem is unless it's closer than 20 ft I can't see it at all. Would you be willing to take a crack at that fly? Or a really, small Dry Fly that's really visible?

      Hi Randell,
      I have tyed down to a size 32 though it's very rare for me to fish this small although I do like fishing down to a size 24 which I use in the summer months..
      All the very best Davie..
