Good morning Davey, very nice creation you have here. I rewatched your Hendrickson nymph video as I will be going to Upstate NY with a friend. These bugs should be moving around and maybe even hatching while we’re there. I’m going to tie some of them best I can with my available material and let you know how it works. Hopefully you can enjoy a couple days on the stream too. Be well. Tom T from NJ

Davie--so fascinating to see this fly through fresh eyes...so different than the traditional Catskill-style nymph we Northeast American fisherman grew up on. Looking forward to trying it this spring. Cheers.

Looks good, it’s the best Hendrickson imitation I’ve seen anyway, I’ve noticed a lot of fly dressers try to invent there own nymphs etc. but patterns like this, pheasant tail etc are designed for a purpose and that’s to imitate a proper insect

Thank you for showing this leggy nymph pattern. It is quite popular in the Pacific North West of North America. We tie it in olive and walnut brown. Sometimes with a flashback thorax cover.

Another great tie. When I break off extra fine wire, I’ve always struggled getting a good grip on the wire. I saw you did also. I now grab the wire, close to the hook, with my hackle pliers. It twists off very easy, and now holds the wire for the next fly. Great pattern.

Great pattern! There is a book that I would recommend if you find the time. It's "Selective Trout" with illustrations by Dave Whitlock. It was a seminal work that goes deep into entomology and the "triggers" that go into fly styles and construction. A great book for North American styles and maybe UK as well.

Marabou makes a great body so I wouldn't hesitate to tye a few with it so give it a go as you'll not go wrong tying a few up for your box..I'm glad you liked the fly..

Hello Davie. Do you accept tying challenges from your comments here? if so I watched a Marc Petitjean video where he tied a mayfly in a way I have never seen. I'm not sure if you've tied this in a video yet, but it is really kicking my butt! ruclips.net/video/7QhjbGlaO70/видео.html that is where he starts tying it. Its almost 100% CDC. Thank you sir!
