My father was with Indian Railways. So I can claim that I have grown up in Railways. Now I am 70 years, but still very found of rails,as was in school days. I just love railways.
I was fortunate enough to see this train at Rochelle. There were thousands of people there. There were literally miles of cars waiting in line on the streets to see it.
The car with the square stuff on the top was once part of the Barnum and Bailey circus train. I was fortunate enough to get to Rochelle to see this amazing train and talked with one of the guys who works on the train.
It is a power car to supply electricity to the train. It was originally built for commissary and postal storage. When the Ringling Bros bought it they rebuilt it as a power car. The Union Pacific reacquired the power car from Ringling Bros, in 2017.

I spent all day chasing 4014 also. Thanks for sharing your videos. It was a mad dash in between all the stops 👍

Nice run-bys. Thanks!!
There is a video of 4014 going next to the grain bins and under the overpass its very popular.
That was a train back in the day and still a great engine today well built❤
Nice video! We can’t wait for it to come to southern Arkansas. We’re going to travel to Kingsland and then follow it down to Texarkana.
What a beautiful sight
It was so nice of the Freight train to STOP AND BLOCK the view for the people sitting on the side of the Highway at the begining of the video.
I saw 4014 Sunday at the U.P. G.3 yard, and also got a truck pulling three hoppers across the diamond by the Railway Park. That was interesting.
Thank you for sharing 😊 I followed it from Ames to Nevada to Marshalltown 🚂
Hope you enjoyed it!
Great Work.

Car #5 upper roof section is different from the other cars. What's special about the car?
