Sure, but I think radicalisation is an interesting term to use in this case.
I'd say people who are in a conflict are radicalised by norm. They would consider it normal, outsiders would consider it radical.
Though, as an outsider I can understand why a poeple who feel oppressed would say such things, hold and voice such opinions.
However unrealistic and unproductive I might find them. It's a dream, an ideal, similar to how people irrationally cling onto religion in times of hardship.
In my experience, in this conflict there are valid grievances and worries on both sides and there is a lot of propaganda being echoed on both sides.
In the end they will both have to compromise to come to an agreement, significantly more so than a lot of people on both sides would deem acceptable. And thus it continues, since being in an active conflict with each other, is not a firtile breeding ground for compromise.
      My two cents.

UNRWA's message to the Palestinians? You can choose war over peace and still expect to get everything you want.*
Some humanitarian groups seem to be backing global terrorism because they're too keen on showing the world how tolerant they are. They've got this long list of people to blame, all because they want to look good. This leads them to value the wrong things, like how much aid they can give out, instead of aiming for true fairness and helping people become self-sufficient
They should be all about fairness and neutrality, helping people to a point where they can stand on their own, and then moving on to help others in need elsewhere.
Take the situation with the Palestinians and UNRWA after the 1948 War of Independence.
The real issue started when the choice was made to go to war instead of living in peace with Israel. That war led to Palestinian defeat and the creation of UNRWA to help the resulting 750,000 refugees. Fast forward to today, three generations later, and UNRWA says there are 5.9 million Palestinian refugees eligible for their services. (Remember that these humanitarian groups measure themselves by the size of aid provided.)
UNRWA has a unique definition for Palestinian refugees that includes not only the original refugees from the 1948 and 1967 conflicts but also their descendants. This definition is broader than the one that the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) typically uses, which does not include descendants in refugee status. Effectively, the agency increased its responsibilities by a factor of 8 with its new definition.
The fact that Palestinians are still considered refugees is due to their bad reputation.
Everyone in the Middle East knows how they have earned this reputation by starting conflict in Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Kuwait and Tunisia. Many of these countries still have not recovered. No one wants Palestinians to integrate into their societies. But this also reflects a failure by UNRWA to get the people self-sufficient and prioritize civic responsibilities over the priority of conflict and the destruction of Israel.
Over 74 years, UNRWA's become huge, with 13,000 people working there, still handling all basic services for Palestinians.
UNRWA keeps focusing on Palestinian victimhood and doing jobs that a government should be doing.
This overlooks the big picture: the refusal to accept Israel and the decision to wage war. Choices were made and priorities were set-not to work towards coexistence or economic partnership but to risk everything for war. Decisions have consequences.
But if you ask UNRWA, there shouldn't be a fallout from these decisions. Seventy-five years on, and we still have Palestinians in camps, hoping to reverse their defeat.
UNRWA's stance that Palestinians are merely victims without pushing for real societal and behavioral change has led to a cycle of dependency. They turn a blind eye to military efforts and validate historical grievances, ignoring the lack of accountability. While Hamas builds tunnels and missiles and the PA rewards violence, UNRWA remains silent.
UNRWA's message to the Palestinians? You can choose war over peace and still expect to get everything you want.
    That's a dangerous mindset

    • @simko8665
      @simko8665 Месяц назад +6

In 1948 about 700,000 Arabs became refugees and were put in refugee Camps, and they still live there hand folded and with no hope, and UNRWA encourage them to stay refugees for ages.
In 1948 till 1950, about 900,000 Jews from Arab countries were expelled and went to Israel. Israel absorded these refugees and gave them housings and jobs even Israel had not enough money for itself at that time.

I’m tired of commenting this, but here we go again. It’s quite simple and we saw from this video (as in others): Palestinians don’t want Israel to exist even in the 1947 UN approved borders. It’s not that they want to have their country only, but it’s also that they want to erase Israel from the map, in many cases altogether with its people. They don’t want a two state solution, they want something similar to what was once called the final solution

It took Europe hundreds of years to find peace between nations. England and France used to be bitter enemies, fighting the Hundred Years' War. Catholics and Protestants clashed violently during the Thirty Years' War. Germany and France fought each other in two World Wars. But now, they've learned to live together and even work together in the European Union.
Peace doesn't happen overnight; it's a long, tough process. But there's hope for Israel and Palestine too. Even though there’s a lot of pain and ongoing conflict, people are still working towards understanding and cooperation. Peace agreements like the Abraham Accords between Israel and some Gulf nations show what's possible.
If old enemies in Europe can become friends, there's hope for the Middle East too. It will take time and effort, but with patience and goodwill, Israel, Palestine, and the whole region can find a way to live together peacefully.

“We welcomed them” literally tried everything to fuck with the Jews who lived in the region, way before they started calling themselves Palestinian, there was a tradition of slaughtering Jews during the month of Ramadan. It’s documented as the rabbis used to send letters to the Ottoman authorities to provide more security in Jerusalem during Ramadan because of this.

"There's no such thing as a separate Palestinian people, there's no difference between Jordanians Palestinians Syrians... the Palestinian identity exists only for tactical reasons. The creation of a Palestinian state is a new instrument in our ongoing war against the state of Israel and for the purpose of our Arab unity.
"Mohsen himself stated that there were "no differences between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians, and Lebanese", though Palestinian identity would be emphasised for political reasons. In a March 1977 interview with the Dutch newspaper Trouw he stated that "between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese there are no differences. We are all part of one people, the Arab nation [...] Just for political reasons we carefully underwrite our Palestinian identity. Because it is of national interest for the Arabs to advocate the existence of Palestinians to balance Zionism. Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity exists only for tactical reasons", representing the Ba'athist perceptive regarding the question of Palestine"

The last man was so correct. He even sighted a UN resolution in response to being asked “why would Israel accept the Palestinian refugees returning?” Maybe because it’s part of the rules of war? Maybe cuz it’s part of international law under the “right of return”. If the goal is peace, then surely governments following international law need to be at the heart of it. You know why many Israelis wouldn’t accept it? Because it wouldn’t be a Jewish state anymore if they did. They don’t want open democracy, they don’t want diversity, in their true, pure forms. They want a gerrymandered, discriminatory, illegal form of “democracy”, that always has a Jewish majority. If you’re an Israeli or if you’re sympathetic to the Zionist cause and you’re reading this, please ask yourself, would it be ok, even with a two state solution, to have an Arab as your president or prime minister? Because in an open democracy that is a realistic possibility. And don’t tell me that you already have Arabs in the Knesset, they hold basically no power. I’m talking about top positions in government. The ruling party. I am in favour of a one state solution with open democracy but I’ve heard Israelis who are in favour of a one state solution say that they would want the Arabs who live in the hypothetical one state, presumably named Israel, to vote in Jordanian elections! People say that is an extreme view, and I would agree, but I haven’t heard a single moderate Israeli view that follows international law, and allows for an open democracy. That’s all the majority of Palestinians are asking for, but I don’t think you can say the same for the majority of Israelis, as it would mean the democratic erasure of their manufactured Jewish state, and a RETURN to what was before. A religiously, culturally, ethnically, diverse nation named PALESTINE 🇵🇸

a Muslim from Nigeria isn't more entitled to Mecca than an Atheist from Arabia.
The Arabian Atheist is still at home in Mecca, the Nigerian Muslim is a foreigner.

The big difference between Israelis (Jewish people mainly, even though non Jews live in Israel) and Palestinians (which is completely people of the Islam faith) is that the ppl in Israel are okay with a two state solution and want peace. They don't wish death on other people, only those who are evil terrorist, while the Palestinians hate the Jews and want us dead. I wish there were Palestinians that wanted peace and to truly live in harmony. One day...I pray.
