    It's a little Pee Vee, and they sure are handy. I see the top of yours is pretty messed up too. I tried buying a bigger one the thing broke on me within a few days. ( Super soft metal, plus because it was bigger I was hitting it with my hammer close to the hing instead of at the top where you're supposed to hit it.) This size seems to work best. I've had mine for about 5 years now. Love it!

    I have an old Bostich n80c nailer, got it 30ish years ago, and it’s still going strong. Because a box on nails takes up so much room in storage with the different sizes, electro galvanized and regular, i only buy the electro galvanized nails. Nailed my deck top with it 27 years ago and they’re still holding.

      Hey mattbangswood what do you think of the cordless skillsaw worm drive

  • @andrewdow1609
    @andrewdow1609 Год назад

    100% correct about the nail thickness. I use 3 1/2-Inch x .131-Inch for framing in my DCN692 and I've yet to be let down. Also, I chose the DCS578 as I've never used a worm-drive. It throws the sawdust up, so, not much better than the foot, but it does suck if I am cutting on a bench as it throws it right into my stomach and chest. Also highly recommend Diablo's ultimate framing/demolition saw blade.

      As someone that has worked for both I will say there's pros to both. When things like work stoppage strikes happen it's a one for all, all for one mentality so that can be frustrating but on the other hand when my family and I go to the dentist and leave with no bill because of the excellent benefit package that is not something to be taken lightly. In my opinion take it for what's it's worth when I factor in pension, benefits, increased pay union is where I want to plant my flag

    Thanks for the tool reviews keep them coming. I have to framing crews and we have always used stick nailers. For the past year I have been looking at coil nailers and thinking about trying them. Just can’t talk myself into investing in them when I have so many stick nailer. What’s your thoughts? Also we have the same telehandler that your using. It’s a good machine

    • @framingbeast720
      @framingbeast720  3 года назад +1

      Hi Travis, ya she's a great machine. It's a 1999 with lower hrs. I bought it in 2012 when I was doing more customs. There are times I wish I got at least a 46" with outriggers but all in all been a beaut. As for the nailers there's pros to each type but for walls I notice the biggest difference with coilers. More nails means less down time and nails are in the gun as apposed to weighing you down. Some time I use strip nailers for the roof. I organize the strip all facing one way and load as many in my pouch as possible. Now my motivation is to get light asap lol

      @travismassengale3743 3 года назад

      @@framingbeast720 we have a 16 ft truss boom for ours that helps a lot. One more question. Is there I big weight difference in the nailers when loaded down with nails

    • @dennylangmack7452
      @dennylangmack7452 3 года назад

      @@travismassengale3743 yeah with a full coil it is heavier but down half 3/4 you either quit noticing or it is getting close to the same weight, the benefit is not carrying a bag of strips of nails. Really nice not having to reload in bad positions ie top plate walking or reaching out over stuff. I would invest in 2 for walls and mass nail stuff and keep your strip nailers
