Love potatoes Au Gratin (Scalloped is with no cheese here). Mom made it with leftover ham. For fresh sausages we only have little breakfast links, Italian, Chicken with apple, and Brats. Had Brats once and remember them being less intense in flavor than breakfast sausage and Italian... do you think Brats would taste good in this?? Probably a stupid question cause what doesn't taste good in a cheese sauce (except breakfast links). Love that this again is not fussing with roux and a Bechamel sauce. I just made this myself yesterday. I didn't pay attention to the oven cooking time and it came out runny. I stuck it back in and it was a bit thicker...lol All in all it didn't stop us from all having seconds. I can't wait to try this again! I did run out of potatoes, no big deal, but what size of baking dish did you use? Thanks so much!

Hi Rik just to let you know I made this today for the clan for lunch and it not only tuned out delicious but it was scoffed with great gusto😃 we thought as it so rich with the cream and cheese that we would have a healthy fruit salad for afters,lol but we had French full cream creme friache😳 so thanks again for your recipes Rik. I've made more than a few of your dishes and love them all. I'm wanting to try this one but am unsure of the sausages you're using. I had some cumberland sausages made locally and they had to get a recipe online for them. There's a bunch of different recipes online for cumberland sausage so they just picked one. They are red not white. What makes the sausage white? I mean I'm still going to make it with the sausage I have but am just wondering about those white ones.
