I've had quite a few nice bikes but my V85TT is probably the sweetest most charming bike I've ever had. It's weight in my opinion makes it very planted,it's engine although not massively powerful it's an absolute honey not threatening and very predictable, gears are perfect for town and the upper gears are long-legged for cruising. I certainly wouldn't put the Guzzi up against any other brand in this category Guzzi do things their way..and Guzzi owners like it that way.
Agreed. The weight does make it feel planted, but it also doesn't feel heavy tipping it off of the side stand. It feels lighter than my friends T7 in that regard. I would also like to see more reviewers rev the engine and actually hustle it through some S bends. The engine loves to rev and really come alive from 4.5-5k RPM on up. It seems that most reviewers ride it slower and short-shift because it's a Guzzi. They consider it as the older gentleman of the group when compared to other brands. It may surprise some that the "older gentleman" of the group can still party and be fun.
@@scottk.8494 ,it can indeed 'hustle' and its power is very usable unlike most bikes with over 100hp where you find yourself only ever using half its power in any gear..what a waste knowing you've spent nearly 20k-20+k for a bike you can never fully exploit.
@stevesteve1965. I also feel the way the power comes on is more fun. After spending time on my V85TT and jumping on my friends T7, I really couldn't wait to get back on the Guzzi. It just feels more engaging to ride. As far as bikes with more power, they usually have even more rider modes, 8 levels of TC, and wheelie control to help manage all the extra powered that the measly V85TT just doesn't have.
I have the 2021 Centenario. Am very happy with the bike. I upped the performance significantly with new free breathing exhaust and ECU Flash. Engine running temperature is noticeably lower now. I do the oil changes and valves myself, its very straightforward. V85tt owners have the option of basic maintenence autonomy. I judge the build quality to be very good. it's built to last. Handling, ergos, styling and rider satisfaction all superb! Love the V-Twin and shaft drive. It's a keeper!
@aemdenouden Full System, headers, muffler, Upmap T800-map with dbkiller, Dynojet PC6 and AT300. Similar setup (no dbkiller) measured at 83.6 hp, 62.5 fp torque on the dyno by Guzzitech. Its like getting a new engine!
I have this one in red and i just love it! It’s so nice to be able to ride almost 500km before i have to refuel it. The maintenance is super easy, the comfort and performance is superb in my opinion❤ sure, there is lots of bike with more power, but it has all i need. And to me it’s makes sense with a handmade Italian bike, because i need the feel of a motorcycle that has the soul and packed with passion. Japanese and German bikes are probarbly the best there is, but i does nothing for me, the Italian bikes including the Ducatis makes my blood flow and makes me smile every time❤😊
I love my tt85! Just made a trip of 4000 km to switserland, alps and french with my wife and full luggage (tent and gear). It drives beautieful. Now I did 22000km without any problems. Very reliable!
I just got a great deal on a 2022 V85TT that is the nice, all green color. It's my first Guzzi, and I love it! I love the engine and trans. The engine loves to rev, and the trans feels great during clutchless shifting when riding hard. It also feels great on gravel roads and forest roads. It feels stable, and even the stock suspension can feel good when time is put into getting it set up right. It can handle chatter bumps on gravel roads very well. One thing Moto Guzzi got right that other manufacturers don't, is that the bike remains in custom mode after it is turned off. That means you dont have to turn ABS and TC off every time the key is cycled off and back on. It really is a great bike that you can cruise on, travel, and use it like a scrambler. It's just a nice place to be 🙂
Moto Guzzi V85TT is a closet thing One can buy these days if he wants a modern iteration of the BMW R80/100GS. On more off road tyres it can go properly off road(planty of videos on RUclips) now I would do a 21/18 big wheel conversion get rid of all the Euro emission nonsense(headers ,cat delete, exhaust and mistral velocity stacks) it easily makes about 85+bhp on the back wheel and with all the exhaust modes you will drop about 15kg easily
Never bought a bike on hard data. I have always bought them on the feelings they evoked in me. To this day no bike has given my as much joy as my 1957 HD Sportster model KH. It wasn't fast and great handling but it had loads of character., soul if you will. It felt alive and mechanical. I always had a hughe grin on my face ridning it and boy did I ride it. Go Guzzi! Choose your own way.
And the version Euro 5 is built with tubeless tires and another riding programm called Sport, which gives you a very direct throttle response. I ve driven more than 11 tkm on it without any problems, very reliable and having a lot of fun. The new frame is a matter of taste. Thank you for this report.😊
I bought a 2023 V-85TT Strata in Alta Verdi. That's the solid green color. I didn't find it, it found me. The bike was used as a demo and had 400 km on it so it was marked down considerably and I signed the papers. I love it, sure it has a few quirks but that is it's charm. I think it is very nice looking and by the amount of comments I get, others think so to. Handling and power are hard to beat, very usable for real world riding and it almost corners by itself. My complaints are few, wind buffeting at high speeds with the stock windshield is a big one. I modified a Givi 8203 windshield by cutting it down 7 inches and added wind deflectors to the hand guards. Really helps a lot. Doesn't like stop and go traffic but no air cooled bikes do. Just have to work the big dry clutch a bit more. The trans can clunk a bit from 1-2-3 but most of that is operator issue and it is getting smoother as time goes on. I've had a motor cycle licence for exactly 50 years this year so I'm not new to this by any stretch. Very easy to work on, did the valves and changed all the fluids at 1000 km. The dealer wants 400 CDN for just an oil change and valves. As for upcoming mods, I'm going to de-cat, remove the SAS air pump and evap system but keep the stock can. Why would I do such a thing, does it need this you may ask? No not really, just want to lose some weight and hopefully make it run better at low rpm plus I like to mess with stuff.
I drove exactly that bike, from Berlage, a few weeks ago. Until that day I drove a V85TT E4 from 2019 for over 32000km. Since last week I drive the very new one now because the engine is so much better than the old one. So is the display, the brakes, the new ABS etc. Loving it...❤
Mate Paul from Australia, I seen your previous model review, I have a 2021 V85tt 100th anniversary model. Your review was fantastic ( I think your the only English Non - Moto Guzzi company review on the “ middle of the road V85tt I have seen ! , and I think it’s the best looking one ☝️. I love my Guzzi and have upgraded the screen to a Palmer products UK fully adjustable mount , also heaps of other stuff . Thanks for a great 👍 review, I will replace my 2021 with the new one when mine is worn out .
A great review on a machine that has always been one of my favourites. Bumpy roads, Scott!! Pop over to the UK with the Guzzi and after a few days of bouncing in and out of potholes, trenches, sunken metal manhole covers, etc., you'll probably be taking a wreck back to Germany.
It is a golden age for riders with so many choices in this catagory. Speaking for myself, I can't hold up those heavy bikes when loaded anymore. I think there are plenty of riders who feel the same. I put 25,000 miles on one of the first V85TT Adventures in the US. It was only when I started to feel slightly uncomfortable with the height that I moved to another Guzzi with a lower seat.
Yes, I have the lower seat height 2024 V7 STONE model 10 AND the V85TT! I traded the V100S for the V85TT and no regrets, 80 HP is plenty. It is so, so comfortable to ride. I have to have that engine, thiugh. It is a delight to use.
Nice review, man! The new V85 makes me smile every time I open my garage door. It is reliable and a wonderful bike to travel long distances. I rode 10000 kms on it from Northern Germany to France, Italy, Switzerland in two months, and it took it all without even a hickup.
@@kyriakosboras I would have to fill up abt. 0.5 liter engine oil, if not for the oilchange on the 10.000km service anyway. Thus I had hardly any oil consumption in that period.
I have the 2024 V7 STONE, same pistons and rings. It used less than one-quarter quart in 6,000 miles after the first service. They seem to be fine on oil consumption.
Awesome video! Beautiful bike for sure. Dealer network here in the states is not good. 2 1/2 hours for me. I was wondering about engine heat? And any vibration? I hope your wife is doing well. Best!
I love my 2020 V85TT! Since I‘ve just been in the lake Como area again, I just wonder why Italians are not driving Moto Guzzis, you hardly see any MG there, they all drive GSs.

I tried a '23 just yesterday and compared to the gearbox in my Sport 1200 it felt very clicky. I don't know how much better the '24 can be... I felt the engine not liking to rev very much, but instead it gave everything it has between 2500 and 4500. That forced me to switch from 3rd to 4th when overtaking someone, which I don't have to do in the Sport, which keeps going and giving to much higher revs. Front brake, excellent. Rear, compliant. It takes slow and fast curves with extreme confidence. Very easy to ride. Wind protection is poor for my 186cm self, no matter how high the screen.
Interesting review. I have the 2024 STONE V7 model 10, and a V100S until...I rode the 2025 STRADA. WOW. I love the engine on my V7 STONE, it is our delight and yes, the transmission is slick. TONS of low down pull and no complaint. The V100S is a FAST and SPORT type bike. I never gelled with the hyper nature of the model. It is great, nothing to say bad there, but it is a bike on the move. After 12,500 miles on it I traded the V100S for the 2025 V85 850TT TRAVEL but, but...I had Carde Cycles switch it into a sudo STRADA; lighter (about 10 pounds) cast wheel, no bash plate (just the exhaust guards). I never "ADV" but the ride and seated position is so, so good. Stuff just falls right at hand, no foreward lean that tires you after awhile. Perfect for my 5'10" 32" inseam frame. Leg space is all day perfect, the V100S is more feeet under you for SPEED, and loss of super long legged comfort. I'm used to the dash (same as the V100S) so no learning curve much there. As crazy as it sounds, the V7's engine sold me on trying the V85TT. I'm 6,500 miles in on the V7 after just four months of ownership and LOVE that bikes engine properties, and same conclusion test driving the V85TT. The TRAVEL adds, well, the travel part. Comfort and luggage. The V7 does real well but it is not the plush suspension and wind management on the V85TT, and even with my 140 pound bare frame. It is a different ride than the retro V7 model 10. I like to have both options for rides, depends on where I go. Generally less than 200 miles I'm on the V7, more the TRAVEL. On the VVT variable valve change on the V85, it is not evident until above 5K or so from the reports. It is a simple mechanical ball and ramp type so no complex electricals. No bid deal as the engine has really good pull below that and a 5K shift point keeps you on the hussel. This engine, like the V7, is just sweet to use and shift. But no problem running it out, it likes to use the revs naturally and doesn't complain. Run it at 4K-4.5K and enjoy! Expect 53.5 average MPG on the HWY, as this engine is rated 48 MPG combined like the V7. So 6 gallons gets you 300 miles or so. This is running 65 and not going crazy, but it will deliver mileage. The green engine demo I rode was right in there in mixed riding after 100 mile test drive. The only reason I returned to the dealer, is they had my V7 for the 6,200 mile service, ha!
Interesting comment. I have a V7 Stone Special Edition, which I love and is perfect for most of my riding (sunny rides up to 150 miles) but I find it slightly cramped (I'm 5'11") on longer rides and I'm planning on some touring next year. Apart from the dimensions (I may also take a pillion), the Arrow exhausts limit luggage options. I test rode a V85 Strada recently and it's clearly more comfortable both in terms of riding position and suspension (also surprisingly, it seemed much smoother than V7). I am now deliberating over trading it in for a V85 but hate the thought of losing it (and taking a big hit on cost). I could keep it but, apart from the outright cost of buying a V85, I'm just not sure I'd use the V7 enough if I have a comfy V85 sat there. I'm interested in your experience and whether you think you will keep the V7 long term? Thanks.
@richardpascoe9018 I'm 5'10" and the V7 is a pretty good long-term sitting position over the V100S I traded for the V85 TRAVEL. The pegs sit more foreward so less kink in the knees is the key. The V7 STONE model ten is a beautiful bike and is a keeper for the excellent visceral feel, and it is a perfect summertime bike (no real heat issues). Your comments on the V85's ride quality and smoothness are same, same for me. The V85 is a long-legged bike for those trips. If you have one bike, the V85 series is great, but it isn't the wonderful ZEN like feel that the V7 offers. And yes, I mean the feel of the trip with ideal communication to the road and the bike. To make the LONG haul, you sacrifice some of that feel for better isolation from the environment. Not so much that the bike loops off the character, though. I don't use the V7 for trips that would need luggage, the V85 does that for me. I went cross country on a 1979 CB750F and if I can stay on that buzz bomb the V7 is a shoe-in for even longer trips, just stop and smell the roses more often than on the TRAVEL. The V7 just connects you to what you are doing so, so well. If I want to just get it done, the TRAVEL is better for that, but it doesn't feel like the tool that the V100S is, it is about the ends of the trip, not the middle as it blasts through the countryside. I want a more relaxed pace, and the V7 and TRAVEL are that.
The V7 isn't a stresses engine case design like in the V85TT's. We have that. 67 HP on my V7 STONE model 10 is PLENTY to be fun. I also have the 2025 TRAVEL model, I seldom get to that last 15 HP riding it. I shift at 5K and am moving right along on the V7. We shall see if the new VVT is a problem long term as the V7 is dead simple so if it is a problem, I still have a bike to ride!
Excellent review, I own two Guzzis but not a V85. Not my type of bike. When riding one wind it up more they love to rev, over square engine unlike most Vtwins. They also have a flat torque curve rather than absolute horsepower. Great motorcycles but maybe not for everyone.
I loved the remark " My knee is touching the exhaust ". Moto Guzzi will have to put a sensor there to notify you with a recording YOU'RE KNEE IS TO CLOSE TO THE EXHAUST. Sense owning my e Moto Guzzi 's, the thought of owning a BMW never crosses my mind.
Loved the review you looked and sounded very happy with the V85, I could be tempted by one from my V7 😃. When you said about eyesight, a word of warning I drive HGV-LGV's (trucks) they are now going over to cameras from mirrors! I like you need reading glasses, but the screens fitted on Merc's I need the glasses on to see the screen but off to see the road 😵💫, not great for other road users. Just wish they return to mirrors which were not broken and did not need fixing, if the camera or screen go down and your overtaking the police have to be could to guide you to a safe area!!
Hi scott thanks for review, could you please clarify for me legroom, ie knee bend angle, riding comfort, the video shot from the drone side view as you were riding is a brilliant idea, and from that view I thought your knee was bent too much for long distance riding? Can you please expand on that? Thks
what are your toughts about lightweight adv's???? i am saving up for the RE Himalayan 450, cheap, fun, good performance. i tink you would like it. great video, your the first i see revieuwing this new model with the VVT :)
Given the sparse dealerships in North America, has the Piaggio Group ever considered a different product distribution model? Maybe direct to consumer with authorized service locations?
I got a questionnaire from Guzzi shortly after buying a V7 in 2020 asking if I would interested in these very things. I replied in the positive. I would have bought my Mandello this way if it were possible.
Interesting to see the swtcih gear change. It looks like what would be the mode button on the V100 is a hazard flasher on the new V85TT. Thats a gripe of mine about the V100S and the V7 850 Stone I have no hazard flashers. I like using the cruise control up/down leaver as the mode control. Ive got smallish hands and its a bit of a stretch to change mode on the V100. Just wish the V85 wasnt so damn tall (yes I have tried with lower seat and its still to tall for my short legs). Great review though Scott.
Was seriously considering the V85 Strada as my first ever bike, back in June. It’s just stunningly beautiful and emits a ton of charisma. Just looking at it and sitting on it makes me feel like a small kid. Grinning all the time. In the end, however, I chickened out and went with the new Vstrom 800 (road version). Not too emotional bike but solid, capable (much more than me) and very kind. But VT85 (or V7) will come eventually, I’m sure of that. Maybe next year.
Loving your videos! Between the V85TT and the Stelvio, which one would you recommend for a 6'1" (186cm) rider, looking for a gentle knee angle? I am getting old, and the less I have to fold my knees the better. LOL Thank you!
I have owned the 2019 model for almost 4 years now and have ridden this model both here in NZ and in the European Alps, mostly 2-up, for 40,000 kms in that time. Just recently, (July 2024) I was privileged enough to ride, also 2-up, the new V100 Stelvio for 6,000 kms through Southern France, The Pyrenees, Picos Europas and Andurias. The custom seat hight is the same on both machines and the riding position almost identical. You are 4cm taller than me so may require taller seat option. The extra torque and HP of the Stelvio was certainly a buzz but not enough to make me want to change here in NZ. However, if I lived in countries such as Europe, USA, Canada or Australia where long distances are a given, then the Stelvio would be my steed. Note: I can also verify that the gearbox does smooth out over time. The new Stelvio was super clunky. My V85TT is now smooth as silk! Hope this helps.
@@roodyblues Thank you so much-this is very useful information! While I am not sure how the Stelvio design will age, I think the V85 is at its peak of refinement, and 10 years from now, it will look as beautiful as today.
@mrv9467 I traded my V100S for the TRAVEL, because it is so, so much more well, TRAVEL oriented and comfortable. The knee bend on the V100S is tight enough to force a stand and relieve session on trips. My 2024 V7 is even far, far better than the V100S because the pegs sit more foreward to unkink the knees. The V100S is SPORT, and it does that well, but I errored on that side too much. I retraced back to the V85TT TRAVEL. No regrets. Besides, the "modern" bikes will be out there, not the classic models.
I added the one off the STRADA to my TRAVEL because it is lower and longer. I never "ADV" so mud jamming the wheel isn't an issue. I also changed to the cast, 10 pound lighter, wheels, too as I'm on-road only.
If you just listen to his voice and look away from the screen...is it just me or do I hear a young Christopher Walken? When you are not testing motorcycles...are you makin' gold records? All kidding aside, I enjoyed your review and I love the 85TT. My only issue is the nearest dealership is either in Tulsa, Chicago or Nashville from where I live.
This bike costs $30k equivalent in India whereas the Tiger 900 is $20k equivalent. There are only 5 Moto Guzzi dealers in India compared to 100 of Triumph. But I just love the look of this and it oozes character
@@travelinben1966 I mean the dealership. Had the bike for 14000km. Went to the dealership 7 times for a number of issues. Most of them originated from a bad update procedure when an ECU update was released and they didn't know how to do it properly. Messed up my cruise control, check engine light was flashing etc.
@@travelinben1966 the bike itself is great.. until a mechanic who deals with scooters gets to service your guzzi. It is about dealership policy and expertise.
Beautiful looking bike. The colours spot on but I don't love the huge V85 graphic on the tank. Unlike all the crap safety techniques that being forced down our throats in cars. All of it on bikes is practical and makes the safer. Lean sensitive ABS is a big feature. I've never even owned a bike with standard ABS.This or the Stelvio could be the first.
Own a v85tt 2021 Centenario . I thought due to it's simplicity that here would be no issues . How wrong was i. Ongoing and still have an issue of surging on rpm on idle that guzzi refused acknowledge or to fix , which i believe is a crank position sensor gap that needs to be changed with the stator for the generator Then the issue with signals not working somehow water got into the circuit and fried it needed to be replaced . End bolts on my handle bar holding the crash guard decided to fall out after the first month . My most recent issue is a total wire harness change out on a 3 year old bike covered the part not labour out of warranty 1 month . Finally my center stand bolt decided to let go and nearly killed me when i was making a turn by rubbing on my tire . Blame the tech who installed it without loctite . Do i like the bike yes do i think italians know how to put a bike together no, would i buy another, sadly absolutely not . I have payments so i have no choice but to continue to make the best out of it but hopefully i can one day be smart enough and buy a Yamaha .
I love Guzzis but they should dump the high front mudguard. It looks awful, most owners fit the low guard from the Aprilia Caponord and few riders will ever take such a heavy and expensive bike off-road. Bikes just seem to keep getting heavier, probably due to emissions regs. It offers features no other midrange bike has - air cooled V-twin with a shaft.
I installed a -25 mm MShock. Suspension is now noticeably upgraded. I also removed the rubber bumpers underneath the seat. Both easy changes. I flatfoot it easily now. The bike is actually much easier to wheel out of the garage because the centre of gravity is lowered. It feels much lighter! I paid a welder $100 to cut a 1 inch section out of the sidestand. New exhaust system reduced the weight by 25 pounds. Lithium battery another 10 pounds lighter.
I have a V85TT which I have a love / hate relationship with. EVERYTHING on the bike was either adequate or amazing EXCEPT for the clutch and transmission. The clutch was too soft for offroad use, so it would get absolutely obliterated within the first few clutch slips. The transmission was too short for it to take touring. So at 140 kph, the revs would be around 5500 - 6000, while it cuts off around 7800 - 8000, which meant that oil consumption as well as fuel consumption would be very high. For a "TT" bike (Tutto Terrano or whatever), it wasn't much of a TT, honestly. Did they fix the clutch and short gears with this update?
My V100S runs 4500 RPM at 70 MPH in 6th, same as my V7. The V85TT has the same transmission ratios, so the same RPM. This isn't an auto-bon breed bike. For what it is worth my V7 uses like one-quarter quart of oil in 6,000 miles and gets 53-54 MPG average.
I have the 2024 V7 STONE and it has a light clutch. The 850TT TRAVEL I test drove and bought one, is even lighter. The transmission on both the V7 andd TRAVEL are excellent. I didn't sense any issue at all.
This bike is beautiful for sure but still lacking any kind of sensible front mudguard to keep the crud off that lovely engine and the rider. Typically Italian form over function 🤔
If anyone can tell me how to blue tooth your phone and helmet to the bike let me know. I’m in the US and Moto Guzzi told me to go aftermarket. It’s on a V100 Mandello 2024 and have tried everything to blue tooth with no luck.
I have the V100S (traded for the 2025 TRAVEL recenty) but use the iPHONE's "setting" bue tooth app, not the way Guzzi's MIA suggests. I was stuck awhile, too! We'll see if I can repeat my success with the same procedure using the TRAVEL's MIA app. Once I set it on the V100S it was perfectly fine.
This is NOT the first update. The V85 was introduced in 2019 and it was updated to Euro5 in 2021 with changes at injection, fuel management und the exhaust system.
once again, the dilemma is simple: the Guzzi is underpowered and not as modern as its competition - but holy cow, it is GORGEOUS!! There is a visual balance and congruence to most of the Guzzis that absolutely kills me! That V85TT with 110-120hp and I would buy it, no hesitation! The Stelvio is also totally gorgeous...tossing up between that and the total luxury and power of the Tiger 1200....decisions, decisions....
You don't want this bike. The changes you suggest redesign it. I went DOWN from the V100S to the 2025 TRAVEL and have no regrets. None. Why? The V7's engine I also have is so, so sublime to ride. Love that engine's everyday power delivery. The V100S isn't a plesant ride for me, too aggressive and hyper to smell the roses, just blows the pettles off them. So, I added a long legged version to the garage to keep the V7's STONE model ten company.

@janzzen1 with lugage and wife 1 liter:23km. And I always use 98 fuel. On the highway it is 1:21.
How is the wind protection on the highway?

I have a 22 Travel,and see no reason to trade up.Love it.
The V85 has more than enough power for the real world.
I have 3 bikes, and the v85 is bar far the most usable all arounder in the stable.
I have a 2022 V85TT and the transmission is the smoothest of any German or Japanese bikes I've ever owned. I am on my 32nd motorcycle.
Love your enthusiasm Scott. That's why you are a great reviewer.
I love my 2019 V 85 TT, no problems, just fun. It's my first Guzzi and the bike i own longest.
No reason to change❤
The bike looks really nice and they have a following because they're different. I would consider buying one myself
@@inspectorclouseau3880 go for it👍👍👍😎
Love my v85tt 😍😍😍
Usable power and elegant styling. I'm starting to pay serious attention.
I drove exactly that bike, from Berlage, a few weeks ago. Until that day I drove a V85TT E4 from 2019 for over 32000km. Since last week I drive the very new one now because the engine is so much better than the old one. So is the display, the brakes, the new ABS etc. Loving it...❤
Nice review, have long appreciated the engineering, the guzzi transverse v-twin with shaft drive is a nice combo. Italian design flair.
The Guzzi V85TT is one hell of a bike for what it offers…
It's a work of art! Thank you for this video.
Great review. Beautiful bike is now added to my wish list. You have certainly earned my subscription- thank you!
Nice review, man! The new V85 makes me smile every time I open my garage door. It is reliable and a wonderful bike to travel long distances. I rode 10000 kms on it from Northern Germany to France, Italy, Switzerland in two months, and it took it all without even a hickup.
Did it consume any oil through your journey;;
Love it !
Thanks again for an informative test
The style and Moto Guzzi cool factor are off the charts on this bike. My V7 Corsa has it as well. Good review, thanks.
Awesome video! Beautiful bike for sure. Dealer network here in the states is not good. 2 1/2 hours for me. I was wondering about engine heat? And any vibration? I hope your wife is doing well. Best!
The bike looks like a motorcycle, air cooled simplicity can not be beat.
You said it .. Air cooled shaft drive .. has won me all day👍
I love my 2020 V85TT!
Thanks for your review. So, l don't remember you saying it, and l was watching you clutch hand, but does this have a slipper clutch now?
Nice video! I really like that bike! Would look good next to my 2016 GS!! Btw, what jacket is that you are wearing?
Thanks.
@richardpascoe9018
I'm 5'10" and the V7 is a pretty good long-term sitting position over the V100S I traded for the V85 TRAVEL.
Can't wait to see this updated engine on the v7 range
Is it going to happened?or you just wish?
@@thodoris3790 i guess it will happen sooner or later, it's the same engine on the core
Well done review!
Excellent review, I own two Guzzis but not a V85. Not my type of bike. When riding one wind it up more they love to rev, over square engine unlike most Vtwins. They also have a flat torque curve rather than absolute horsepower. Great motorcycles but maybe not for everyone.
Yes, they like revs and to cruise at 4K-4.5K RPM all day. A gear available for any speed range, too. My 2024 V7 engine is a delight to use.
I have never seen a right hand twist that fast 😂😂 lucky luck on a bike 👍
Just wish they return to mirrors which were not broken and did not need fixing, if the camera or screen go down and your overtaking the police have to be could to guide you to a safe area!!
you are just great, thank you for your channel 👋
Hi Scott, do these variable valves compare to my GS 1250 shift cam technology? Thanks, Marc, Quebec! 😉🏍🇨🇦

Great review 👍👍
Given the sparse dealerships in North America, has the Piaggio Group ever considered a different product distribution model? Maybe direct to consumer with authorized service locations?
Awesome idea. I want a Tuareg 660 in the worst way, and it’s 250 miles to my closest dealer from STL.
I got a questionnaire from Guzzi shortly after buying a V7 in 2020 asking if I would interested in these very things. I replied in the positive. I would have bought my Mandello this way if it were possible.
As for the transmission how many miles on this bike? I hear the transmission smooths out after a few thousand miles...Could that be the difference?
Interesting to see the swtcih gear change. It looks like what would be the mode button on the V100 is a hazard flasher on the new V85TT. Thats a gripe of mine about the V100S and the V7 850 Stone I have no hazard flashers. I like using the cruise control up/down leaver as the mode control. Ive got smallish hands and its a bit of a stretch to change mode on the V100. Just wish the V85 wasnt so damn tall (yes I have tried with lower seat and its still to tall for my short legs). Great review though Scott.
Very good review 👍🏻 subscribed
Nice review !! I'm interested! I have a Gen 2 Ducati scrambler..
Looks a lot better than the Travel 2021 version I tried out and didn't like.
I really like these bikes and I’d consider buying one but I don’t know why they just have something about them. Are they reliable.
My 2019 it's a bulletproof. Just riding and... "Scent of a motorcycle"
Can you easily drive with 150-160 km/h in highways and have some power left to overtake if needed?
Was seriously considering the V85 Strada as my first ever bike, back in June. It’s just stunningly beautiful and emits a ton of charisma. Just looking at it and sitting on it makes me feel like a small kid. Grinning all the time.
In the end, however, I chickened out and went with the new Vstrom 800 (road version). Not too emotional bike but solid, capable (much more than me) and very kind.
But VT85 (or V7) will come eventually, I’m sure of that. Maybe next year.
Yep, the 2024 V7 STONE and 2025 V85TT TRAVEL both followed me home!
@@roodyblues Thank you so much!
Hope they put this engine and cruise control on the V7s
I'll take the cruise, no need for more power on my 2024 V7.
Hi Scott, where is the community part where I can find the spec sheets of the different motorcycle categories?
Sorry, I never got around to doing that for 2024.
Interesting! 14:45 - I'll keep my Tiger RP then.
What about that front mudguard, doesn't look as if it'll keep much dirt off the front of the bike ???
Thank you!
after seeing this video, considering one to complement my 701...
The Cardan, guys... The Cardan 🤩🤤
This bike costs $30k equivalent in India whereas the Tiger 900 is $20k equivalent. There are only 5 Moto Guzzi dealers in India compared to 100 of Triumph. But I just love the look of this and it oozes character
WELL worth it.

What service?
None for mine since initial break in.
@@travelinben1966 I mean the dealership. Had the bike for 14000km. Went to the dealership 7 times for a number of issues. Exactly what I think !!
Cool review! I heard that this model eats oil a lot. Can you confirm? But instead of that, sooo good looking bike.
I’m really considering purchasing one here on the east coast of America!
Vtec babyyyyy
Cool bike!
Cool.
Bro how do you see the new bmw G G S A 2025
Like this bike but I live where it's smokin' hot all the time and air cooling concerns me
looks top heavy pods out the side
I love Guzzis but they should dump the high front mudguard. It looks awful, most owners fit the low guard from the Aprilia Caponord and few riders will ever take such a heavy and expensive bike off-road. Bikes just seem to keep getting heavier, probably due to emissions regs. It offers features no other midrange bike has - air cooled V-twin with a shaft.
So you sell the BMW GS and purchase the Guzzi? If yes, Welcome to the Guzzi owners club 😊
Maybe... 😁
Nice clearance, but where the hell is the skidplate? Partially nonexistent
Battle bike ....💎
Why no centerstand ???
Why no centerstand on any ADV is standard?
No chain to clean and maintaine would be my guess. I added one, not too much to do, for stability during other maintenance stuff.
It’s a sweet bike but something I can no longer ride due to its weight and seat hight nevermind price
👍
Sorry, I've never tried it with a Guzzi.
Loved my v85tt. New graphics dont do it for me
This is NOT the first update. The V85 was introduced in 2019 and it was updated to Euro5 in 2021 with changes at injection, fuel management und the exhaust system.
Yes, did a video on it, euro5 changes, this is the first official update from Guzzi & not forced Euro5 emissions.
I LOVE GUZZI"s - "BUT" here in the USA there are limited dealers, which is why I won't get one, simple as that.
Moto Guzzi. What's else is there to say!
Tbh I prefer the styling of gen1…
once again, the dilemma is simple: the Guzzi is underpowered and not as modern as its competition - but holy cow, it is GORGEOUS!!
I had the same dilemma and finally bought a stelvio -fantastic bike
@@pko1099 I'm certainly leaning that way...
Wish they'd redesign the headlight setup. Just looks terrible.
I wish mother nature would redesign me, I look terrible. But I work great.
Great review.
