I live in Englewood. We were fortunately on vacation in Pa. for the hurricane and a few weeks after. As we drove back the things we noticed most were the huge piles of trash along the roads waiting to be picked up. Every day when you go out you see numerous trucks picking up those piles of waste. But the most encouraging thing is all we hear is the sound of rebuilding - drills, saws and nail guns. Wonderful to hear. Unfortunately, some things can't be rebuilt - they have to just become memories and that is most difficult for those who lost them. But I'll tell you - this little town is tough and it is coming back for sure. Just give us some time.
Hi Virginia, Thanks for watching and for the great comments. Yes, Englewood is hard at work to rebuild/restore the damage caused by this horrific storm. The future is bright and beautiful! Take care and have a great day!
Hello from Naples, Florida. What a mess. We see some progress, though. We still do not have internet or TV in our area, lost it 11 days ago. Have to use hot-spots around town. Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend
Oh wow! Yes, watching your videos we saw that Naples was hit hard. Glad you guys are ok. I hope your Internet and TV is restored soon my friend. Have a great weekend as well my friend.
Hello Claudia. You're welcome and thanks for watching and commenting. We appreciate your support. Our prayers also go out to all who were impacted by this horrific storm. Take care and have a wonderful weekend.
Sigh, brought back memories of Irma for us. We're north of Tampa Bay. We had piles on the streets for some time. Fact of life in Florida, sadly. Thanks for sharing.
Yes, the hurricane season here in Florida can be very tense/stressful. The amount of devastation a Hurricane can case is undescribed. We stayed at our home in Venice/Northport for Hurricane Ian, not sure I would do it again. Your right, it a fact of life here in Florida. Safe travels my friend and have a wonderful day.
@@CoastalFloridaLife I had to leave our home just before Ian hit. My wife stayed home to care for our pets and I was very concerned. We didn't have any problems as we live 120 miles to the North. But next time we might have to leave after seeing the devastation down your way.
Hello my friend. Thank you for all your support! We are ok, Southwest Florida Coast was devastated by the storm. Cleaning-up and restore after Hurricane Ian has been underway for the past three weeks and many places are looking much better. Again Thanks and have a wonderful weekend.
Rotonda West just east of where this is showing there is not a home that was not damaged by Ian, piles of furniture, peoples property piled up as high as the home on both sides of the street, other areas of trailer parks are wiped out totally. It’s now 5 weeks later and still it’s very bad. Thanking FEMA, local & other state Church groups, the Military and all the individuals that got us through this nightmare.
Hello Jim. Yes, your right! Rotonda West had a lot of damage. We were going to drive through the area and film but there was way too much damage, and we did not want to get in the way. There is still much to do my friend, and many people and organizations to thank for their help/assistance during this horrific time. Take care my friend and have a wonderful day!
@@CoastalFloridaLife thank you for the great coverage I have not see the media give us the attention we deserve. So much damage, thanks to FEMA, military, churches & civilian helpers that played such a great part to get us where we are today and we are far away from where we need to be. Thanks again.
Thank you, my friend. Yes, they are! There is much to clean-up but there has been much improvement over the past three weeks. Take care and we hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Thank You today July 15 2023 we continue to clean up, slowly we get back to sanity. Some homes are still unlivable, workers are in short supply & it is hard for many to jump the hoops from some of the insurance companies.
Hello Jim. We visit Englewood often...awesome city. We continue to hear about some of the Insurance companies' delays...very disappointing! Take care, hope you have a great week ahead.
Hello Dorothy. Thanks for watching and commenting. Yes, we visited this area first to see the amount of damage on the Gulf of Mexico Coastline and the area most visited by residents and nonresidents. Some areas in Englewood were difficult to visit/drive through due to the amount of damage and the recovery/cleanup efforts going on during that time. Again, thanks and have a wonderful day.
The clean up is too slow. Charlotte County needs all new commissioners, and a new Director of Public Works. All of them get paid 6 figure salaries for what???? Total failures. Smh.
This must be your first hurricane they've been damn good about picking stuff up I've been through ones a lot longer and a lot worse than this this was a cat 5 storm whether they wanted admit it or not
I live here in Englewood and they are on it ! Don't know how you can say it's to slow? Do you know how much Debris is here? This was 3 weeks after.. Always someone to complain about something. SMH
Hay could any one who lives in Englewood . Could you check out Deer Creek Moible home park on Godfree Creek off Michigan Ave and give a report I would truly appreciate it. I use to live at 18 Deer Lane.

Does any body know how Deer Creek Mobilehome Park fared? I lived there for 16 years but can't get any one on the phone.
