Rose McClune You’re right on...... he is incredibly funny. I saw him in an open air amphitheater called Chastain Park in Atlanta GA and his stories in between songs about his father Dick Marx, (a very accomplished musician and jingle writer) were hysterical.

I had a heart attack a few years ago, was dead 2 & a half minutes & I saw heaven 4 real. I saw my best friends brother up there, he'd killed himself when 17 y/old. I was SO glad he was ok! & this song emphasizes the facts that our loved ones ARE waiting for us.
@@fiona-amberbennett7541 - I LOVE hearing stories like this! I have spoken to a medium a few times since my mom's death in 2018 and I know that there is a Heaven and that she is happy up there. Her brother committed suicide and was seen by the medium as being right by her side. I can't wait to see her and my Grandma again.

How is it possible to save such an amazing voice through the years? Is it the original tonality or was is slightly scaled down, Richard?
Seems to be the original key and it does seem as though he could lower it a little bit because we already know he can sing beautifully. But as the voice ages it becomes a little more difficult to sing as high... I think this was definitely at the top of his register.
basically, he didnt abused his vocal chords. unlike axl rose, bon jovi and many more. watch how richard marx sing it throughout the years, even his videos in 90's up to date, he doesnt open his mouth that wide. you asking how he get that exact note even if he doesbt open his mouth? his microphone always at max level, also watch how far his mouth to the mic when he goes to higher notes. hes doing this for decades and mastered it

@@shaunekaw.9414 - You need to get your capacity for comprehension tested. Firstly, it's a SONG, not a lifestyle guide. FWIW the singer was momentarily questioning the future of a relationship that is made difficult by distance, before pledging his commitment to his girl. Richard was married to that girl for 25 years, not a lifetime but a pretty good stretch. Nothinh 'hypocritical' unless he somehow had a crystal ball when he wrote the song. You really should consider that head wobble.
