The blouse looks great. I often turn adult clothes into something for the grandchildren, it's a great way of dressing them cheaply and a good way to practice my sewing skills. Xx
Wonderful top and thank you for your wonderful story, gave me such a giggle - I love your dedication to your sewing and could imagine doing something similar!
This is such a good idea, one of the most wasteful industries is fashion...I have a couple of makes i don't wear anymore, I'm now planning how i can do some refashioning 😊
That's why I say the smartest people are sewing. It makes perfect sense to me to look in the trash. Let us know if you find them. Cute top. I repurpose thrifted finds all the time, not out of real need; but out of the need to create and to recreate.
It is lovely but the pocket is not misplaced but too big for your figure. Also it is in a contrasting colour for the placement so makes it look oversized. I think I like that pattern to sew.
I laughed SO hard at this story as I could relate exactly to the scattered events that could precipitate losing the sleeves! I am MOST impressed at how you salvaged it, however and its SO cute as that top! A separate comment and question: So many reallly cute patterns you have featured lately feature very low V-necks. As a 73 year old I don't have the lovely soft skin you young things have, and don't want to expose my age marks on my chest! I wonder if you have a video on raising V-necks. I usually just select a different pattern but it would be great to be very proficient at raising the V necks to make it less revealing. Great video though. Very entertaining today!
Love your refashioned skirt. It looks great on you. You’re great at picking out your patterns. I would never have thought that pattern would look at good as you made it look. Great job Lucy.
I would leave the pocket off x

Love the shirt and the pocket is adorable just where it is
Thank you for sharing your experience.
The fact that you could not find the sleeves was meant to be - It looks lovely as it is!
Thank you so much, it was too funny and silly and crazy not to share.
Yes, I agree, it’s lovely as it is, no pocket & quite honestly I prefer sleeveless. Good choices. Many thanks for sharing.
Really love the blouse and looks fabulous in that fabric. A great remake.
Super cute top and excellent color for you!! Inspiring! Thanks for sharing the adventure.
Thank you, yes I loved the colours and the print so much I just wanted to breathe new life into it. It's a pleasure, glad you enjoyed it.
Lucy, thank you for your vulnerable and funny story. What a success ultimately!

Fab refashion, beautiful job. Btw, "it's mandatory we embarris our children " from time to time 😂😂
What an adventure Lucy! Lovely result. 😊❤
Thank you so much, it certainly was and not only have I got a lovely top, I've got a funny story to tell too!
omg, this made me laugh ... but your sleeveless version looks amazing. That fabric is much better as this shirt than the skirt. Well done.
