I LOVE IT! I just made about 5lb worth of fried calamari, with my own aioli, for my family of 9 with some garlic butter shrimp and we are in heaven! Thank you Sir for a great video!
I just tried this recipe, and it is THE BEST crispy calamari rceipe I've tried. And I've tried many! Thank you so much chef!! Everyone really enjoyed it!! Super yummy because of the spices! And the other veggies and bread and dipping sauce! So delicious!
my daughter and I made this last night! It was perfect!!! Thank you, Chef, for the temperatures and hints, it was so helpful. We loved how they turned out, No need to go to out when you have the best at home!
Chef, I just made this and had to take a moment to express how fantastic this recipe is!! Folks, you needn't look for a better recipe for this, this is it. Thank you so much for sharing this and happy holiday season to you.
My suggestions after having tried the recipe is 1. complete the wash, and the flour dredge before putting calamari into frying oil. 2. Cook tentacles as a group and then tube pieces as a group as timing is different. Cook tentacles for 60 seconds, tube pieces for 90-120 seconds. Taste is excellent.
Great recipe! I just made this right now, and I'm super happy with the results! I've always wanted to make restaurant style fried calamari at home and now I can! Thank you so much! P.S. I'm wondering how it will turn out if you use Panko instead of the flour. I'm gonna experiment one day.
Thanks for the awesome easy recipe. I love the idea of the peppers on the side. Got almost 100lbs of squid in my freezer from last few weeks going to do a big fry sometime soon. Cheers
Would you please tell me the brand of the induction cooktop used? I have never seen one so thin! Thanks. P.s. I appreciate the tips WHY you use the techniques you do example sauteeing garlic in oil for hummus.
Ya know, I had completely forgotten that calamari was an appetizer. I always just order a bunch of it and eat it as my main meal lol
