So interesting to see someone halfway around the world, generations apart enjoying the same bike. Cheers and enjoy the ride.

Very profound review! Thank you! As I do ride the same bike and have now 12k on the clock, your thoughts on the maintenance is very useful. And occasionally playing with the idea to upgrade to R1250RT, then now after listening your interview, I am not anymore so sure it is a right move. Thank you sir!

Finally someone honest that is highlighting the heat. I saw many reviews because I was interested in this bike but none of those mentioned this. I had a test ride last week and I felt a troublesome heat, also the rear brake is horrible. I told this to the dealer and he replied me " You know, new engines for anti pollution rules..."For the rest great bike

The reason why you buy a Multistrada over this. Apart from the guards you won't need anything else. In the end f900xr plus all the upgrade will cost almost the same as the 950s or V2.

I had an issue with the water pump failing at 3000 miles. I was very disappointmented with BMW quality on the F900xr. Also the TFT screen was starting to delaminate.

actually, I'm planning to go for this bike wherein no test ride is available in Chennai so i traveled last week to Bangalore and did a test ride..I too felt the same in that the front shocks seem very very hard..as you suggested going for hyper pro springs ..is it really working or just manageable sir ? also the seat is hard too..pls share your comments

Hyper pro makes it manageable, still not off-road or trail worthy. But it makes the bike much better comparitively. Seat I use is from Wunderlich, stock seats are not good for long rides

@@RakeshSingh-sf7rb yes sir ..obviously it’s not a bike for off road ..but spending 15lack for the machine and if you feel the suspension is not soft atleast in normal roads even after changing the springs is what’s makes me little worried 😟

Naaa... This 900 ain't suitable for India.
I don't need a hardcore offroader.. But I do need a road highway long distance tourer whixh can handle terrible roads and even gravel roads and untarred
Non cemented roads often found in rural villages of maharashtra.
Whixh is why I will wait for
    Honda transalp 750
Or simply buy the Bmw 850 gs.
