Induct these talented musicians song writers into Rock Roll Hall of Fame!!! 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸❤ Friendly reminder that when you say ignorant things about women in power, they don't hear you. But your daughters do. Your mother does. Your sisters hear you. Your nieces hear you too. 😘
Gogos had a huge problem with Caffey into drugs. People don't really realize that she wrote most of their music (not all). On Beauty and the Beat, she wrote: We Got the Beat, Fading Fast and cowrote mostly with Weiden (Caffey's name is first): Tonite, Lust for Love, This Town, How Much More, You Can't Walk in Your Sleep, and Skidmarks on Your Heart. Songs she did not write: 3 (Weiden wrote two, Valentine one).
Vacation was a good album, not as good as Beauty and the Beat.... Talk Show, in my opinion, is their best album, and Head over Heels, one of the great tunes of the 80's....
The Go Go's were not the first all-female band that played their own instruments and wrote their own songs and had a certain amount of success. That was Fanny back in 1974 with their hit 'Butter Boy.'
Fanny's single 'Butter Boy' went to #27 on the pop chart. Sadly, I think the only reason it didn't go higher - aside from being banned on some stations for it's semi-pornographic lyrics - was the band broke up not long after they released their album, so there was no promotion and no videos/shows of them performing the song.
@1:32 - they're not kidding about the movement they started with young women throughout the country. I went to see the Go-Go's at the height of their popularity in 82 in an auditorium on my college (capacity about 15K). It was amazing to walk in and see of those great looking women there. And the ratio of girls/guys was overwhelmingly girls by about an 80 to 20 ratio.

Wow. A very belated congratulations to Charlotte for beating her addiction.
I always loved Kathy!
How I wished I got the chance to be a successful, amazing band like The Go Go's and hate it, like Jane, hahah. I LOVE THEM!
even biography channel is nostalgia now.

@@ratagris21 Much Deserved!!
I have all four of their albums, and like them all.
Belinda was the most popular Go-Go and by far had the most successful solo artist.
Charlotte never looked bad for a heroin addict.
Margot is not longer the only memeber in the fired Go-go bassit club.
They wasn't as tame as most people problem assumed. With fame come(s) addiction. I still love their music. And they're pretty good.

( **pssst! I think they mean SUCCESSFUL bands...not every girl/boy that ever was in 'something' and played'something/somewhere'** )
