    Astonishing - the burst of creativity in the early Talkies...
    They nailed it - the industrial power which can be diabolical ...
    Something like the brilliant political commentary of the silent METROPOLIS.

      your mentioning the similarity with 'Metropolis' is very much to the point. in fact, i've posted the dance sequence from that movie on YT too. did you see it? :)

      @@JohnRaymondHall I haven't seen your post. But I've known METROPOLIS since the '70s when my husband and I went to Museum of Modern Art all the time and saw many Silents and early Talkies. I have a DVD of METROPOLIS now.

      that's true - i hadn't thought of that! - i guess lots of rehearsals so the performances are safe

    Curiosamente, al ver una película sobre Valentino, que enteré que su esposa durante unos años Natacha Rambova había tenido un romance con un bailarin Kolsoff, del que nunca había oído hablar de él.
    Por lo que veo tenía mucha imaginación para hacer esta coreografía en aquellas épocas.
