I've always absolutely loved combiners, and Menasor is no exception. I love seeing how they can still come up with new ideas and concepts to make show accurate combiners work, and I absolutely can't wait for the 86 Devastator.
I think this is the best compromise of G1 accuracy, stability, and poseability. I can guarantee that Bruticus will also have a frame. I am all in on these.
This was my first true finished Combiner. I did have figures during the combiner war era, but my Autobot combiner was a mishmash of Three Protectabots, Skydive (my first real taste of the line), Prowl, and Hound, and my Deceptacon combiner wasn’t able to be complete until Power of the Primes because that one is made up of Two Terrorcons, Darkwing, Dreadwing, and the Amazon exclusive Blastoff. So to finally have a true Combiner Team complete was a happy experience for me. Especially when it took me a year to find a Motormaster that wasn’t $190 USD. Hell even the “limb” bots took me a bit with Dragstrip and Breakdown being the Easiest Breakneck being the Second and Deadend being the one I only saw in person after a buddy of mine got it and gave it too me in exchange for a SS-11 Lockdown.
I'm kicking myself for not getting these guys as they came out. Hoping to catch one of the Takara Tomy sets when they show up next year since I missed the preorder window.

"Well... I mean... yes!" Studio Series seems to be formally starting on Devastation, so I wonder what the odds are of seeing these Stunticons revisited there as retools. It was odd seeing Motormaster as a full-fat boss with a voice while the other Stunticons barely existed. I love the little collision between Drag Strip and Dead End for the combination sequence!
Skeleton works for menasor but i just don’t think it fits with the others, I would rather the limbs be voyagers and combine than stick on, also I really don’t like the supierion they look incomplete, like the bot should go on the front
I get it and see it. I thought that too but the more I look at superion as a whole I am leaning towards the skeleton. But we'll see how it works in practice soon
They are supposed to go on the back for Superion and I disagree Combiners Wars did that and it didn’t turn out that well. Plus the limb characters don’t have the mass to be entire arms or legs.
I dont personally enjoy the whole _talking to a character in the review_ shtick some do BUT! the jokes are non obtrusive and are so well animated, that I cant say anything is bad about the scenes This is still a great concise review
I try not to do it too often, and it is 100% self indulgent when I do. I try to keep it to characters I know I can passably voice and keep it non intrusive
honestly this would be a perfect format for a combiner system if they could actually do the whole scramble city combiner, what im referring to is that the limbs can only go in one place, it would be nice to have say.... Breakdown as an arm, or Dragstrip as the left arm, mix and match with future combiners and so on
I loom back and I'm mildly disappointed in it. Especially when I see Devastator and Superion. They could have !are Men as or somewhat taller and Wider. As it is, Devastator is thicker and definitely taller, if only by a hair. Unfortunately, the upgrade kits can only help but so much. Still, I've just sent for one to make him at least as tall as Devy. They had some great ideas with the individual bots. I love how Motormasters body houses Menasors head, and how the arm cars become the arms. Imo, the cars aren't really armor, they're just completing the arms that might not be as powerful without th added cars. I do wish that the leg cars had an option of going on the front of the legs. At the very least, have the cars fit on the back without the odd bending to form the heels.
While I get the benefits of the skeleton thing, it just feels so unsatisfying. Conbiner Wars may not have been perfect, but seeing each gut be able yo be an arm or a leg and create a working elbow was so freaking cool. I want to be excited to AotP Superion, but every time I see it I just feel so uninspired.
Before anyone says anything yes I'm aware I didn't extend the forearms of Menasor at first. I corrected it later in the video. :)

I'm currently trying to complete Menasor! I'm 2 bots down, 3 to go. Motormaster won't be an issue, but Deadend and Breakdown might be.

I get it. It's not everyone's cup of tea. I enjoyed the combiner wars immensely but I'm also finding enjoyment with this style as a display piece.
The big useless chunck of plastic remaining from the trailer in combined mode is a deal-breaker. AOTP Superion won't have that problem hopefully.
I think of it like Optimus'/Rodimus' trailer yes it's useless and it could have been done better but it is what it is
