Little late maybe, but is it possible to mount the plastic undertray of the engine to the Votex lip since these attachement points are folded on the Votex lip?
It does fit good for a replica, planning to get one from Amazon, but I see that curled up tips at 3:55 , how to attach them? I don't have a plastic cover down there
Thanks for the vid!! Just bought mine, exact same lip. The OE Votex ones are honestly going for 400-500 now so screww that 😂 Gonna try and color match mine myself, and good to know that even with some messed up tabs it'll still pop in! Got a little worried after opening mine but we'll send it lol
Where? In the wheel wells? There should be two screws that go into the bottom part of the lip onto the under tray (if I remember correctly) and then 1-2 in each fender well.
I cool guy I have a rabbit of 7 and looking to change the appearance I need a rear wing of front lip where's a good place to get legit ones that are not going to fly off
Why did you guys stop? You and Bryan got me to import an MK4 R32 to South Africa and rebuild and revive it. Every now and again I’ll come back and watch the videos again just taking in the builds, Chats and the garage.
Wow, I really appreciate that comment. Whenever I made these videos I had always wondered how people would respond to them, and it’s awesome to hear positive feedback and is much appreciated. Why did we stop? Well, it’s really just that I stopped. I stopped making videos right around the time that I was going into my senior year on college. I was getting incredibly busy with my schoolwork and it honestly made it difficult to drive a couple hours away to where Bryan lived and do a video. Anyways, so I finished my degree in mechanical engineering and am now working full time. The channel WILL COME BACK. Right now it is winter where I live and I also have just a tiny garage for my apartment - it is impossible to enjoy working on a car in that environment - let alone light the car properly and have video equipment in there. I will be buying a house before winter is over and getting a larger garage that I can use to work on stuff. Then the channel will be back.
Congratulations on the degree. Will Bryan also still be part as the combo of you guys made for good entertainment. So we never got MK4 R32’s in South Africa so I imported a donor vehicle from the UK and been building it over into a locally registered 1.6 3dr. Been a labour of love over the last 17 months sourcing parts and getting it up an running. We luckily got the Audi TT 3.2 MK1&2 here so engine parts aren’t that big of an issue. Will make a video for you when we are done in the next month or two of it.

It depends on which one you get, but this one was exactly like the OEM one, and I’ve had both so I know.
I literally just got same one lol but was sold as a edition 30 lip I like it better than more expensive aftermarket ones iv broke b4
good luck on your senior year man. hope you stick around Josh, from one vet with a BMP .:R to the next!
I’ll be sticking around! Already have a job lined up in downtown MKE.

You could probably just cut off those curled tips, or replace your missing plastic cover haha
@@joshwalling4633 I'm just afraid that it catches on the ground when parking, so cutting them is good option I guess haha
That looks awesome. United grey bois unite! I just ordered one off of ebay and plan to use your video as a guide. How is the lip still holding up?
Car got totaled shortly after unfortunately, but I’m sure it would’ve been fine
I bought this same one from that company and it sticks out on the sides and the tabs don't line up. Any ideas?
I would take a deremel and do some trimming on the tabs on the lip. I didn’t have any major issues though.
@@joshwalling4633 I bought a different one fit perfect
Glad it worked out!
@@joshwalling4633 thanks! Sold the gti to my nephew as I bought a 370z miss the little golf tho haha

Yeah the OEM one I had was $395 new if I recall, and that was from the dealership lol.
I was thinking of getting a Volkswagen as my first ever car but I don't know what mods I should add to the car so u have any recommendations
Well some coilovers and wheels are a good place to start.
Díd you need screws to complete the assembly?

@@joshwalling4633 thanks!! Do you remember ir the screws came with the package or you had to buy them separately?
I don’t recall, sorry!

ECS tuning has some options available.
The cat is like: Dude leave me alone!!
She is just talkative haha
Love the the mkv!
Anyone knows where I can find one of these now
eBay if you want aftermarket, otherwise I think the OEM one can still be sourced.
@@joshwalling4633 it's a tough one coz most of the ones I found only ship in USA and I'm all the way in Africa 😂and oem is too pricey for me
Good kitty
The first comment to ever recognize my cats. Thank you.
I wish this channel was still alive.
Same.

Hello pinkerton
Jesus christ 8 minutes of absolute waffling before you actually do anything
This was one of my very early videos haha, but yeah it’s far from my best work. This was also when I thought I was gonna do Vlogs haha!
