Added recently a female badis badis to aquarium that had already a male in it. I enjoyed so much watching them dance and court each other. Would be amazing to get some fry. They are like tiny little cichlids. Cheers MJ

need one indian river biotope aquarium , there are lots of interesting indian fish in aquarium hobby but lots of them are underrated, lots of danios, barb , laches ,rasbora ,dwarf snakeheads , badis need to get attention .

Awesome how your juncus repens looks bright green. In my cse new leaves are light green and old leaves becoming dark green and then brown.
I think susswasertang is much more of a breeder plant than an aquascaping plant. It’s kind of like guppy grass. Once it grows it breaks into smaller pieces that spread all over your tank…
Mooie setup, het oase soil zal je goed gaan bevallen. Verkruimeld niet zo snel en waterkwaliteit is vrij stabiel.
Heel toevallig. Dit is precies de layout die ik in gedachten had voor mijn 35L tank. Was alleen nog op zoek naar de juiste hardscape.
My tank Dennerle’s 55l is on Oase soil. One thing to note - my plants are hungry for N 😂 seems that soil is not very rich with this element. Other than that - I haven’t seen any algae so far. Started it the dry start way.

I really like this setup! I have a 40g all based on SE Asia. It's amazing how many plants and fish come from that region.
Came out gorgeous. I think I’m going to copy you on the gravel after the planting soil so it stops from getting rolled onto the sand I plan on using.

Hello and thank you for the fantastic content you create. My wife and I love watching your videos. We are starting our first aquascape and are using a dry start method for the carpeting plants. Can you please tell us if we should use RODI (re-mineralized?) water, dechlorinated water, or another option for water during a dry start?
For the drystart it doesn’t really matter that much, so I would use whatever you are planning to use after the drystart.

When you said ludwigia super red was the easiest red plant though, that hurt me. I've never been able to keep that plant alive no matter which tank, which light or ferts.
I find Ludwigia repens 'rubin' to be a really easy to take care of red plant. Much easier than the super red variety

Can I achieve the results you have with a 55 gallon tank. Using the Light, filter, Co2 , substrate.etc. What would I do differently since the aquarium size is much larger???
Of course you can 😊 you just need more materials, so bit more substrate, bigger pieces of hardscape, and some more plants.

I, as many others, am shocked at this sad news and I was wondering if it were possible for you to perhaps feature Felipe’s work and give him honour for what he has brought to thw world aquascaping community. that limnophila usually using for steaming fish dishes..they have aromatic smell herb

I know I should focus on the tank but, the wooden piece of furniture is very cool. Did you keep the tank on it? Also, good move to shift the lily pipes. I really like this setup. The wood looks great and your plant choice and fish are solid. Hope you enjoyed your trip 😉

Love you're aquarium's and your videos 👍 was wondering I'm expecting some pygmy corydoras do you know what is the best way to acclimate them you're input whould be appreciated thanks
This is how I always acclimate my fish.
1. Float the bag in the tank for half an hour to get the temperature matching.
2. Open the bag and add small amount of water every 5 minutes for 30 minutes.
3. Release the fish.

I do hope that "mini" for the echinodorus is true. In my experience that plant's roots will take over the entire ground of your aquarium. When you trim it, cut away the excess roots or it will overtake your tank.
I am curious as well if this is really a mini version!

JUst about to do a nano with elderly stone. I'll try to make some levels with flat pieces like you used here. Found a spot in nature with this type of stone(and frodo) and did some suculent/alpine plants arangements in the garden. It's great. Edit: isn't this type of stone increasing GH?

Not really unfortunately, it doesn't stick very well.
I have been watching a lot of your videos and I don’t see anything about a heater for your tanks ??? Do you use them ?? If so , what temp do you recommend??
Yeah I keep most tanks on room temp which is 21 to 22 degrees C
MJ- any chance you could tell us your Chihiros RGB % settings on each tank?
On my 36cm cube running chihiros w rgb slim I went with shrimp preset then increased green 5% and reduced blue 5%
I only have the WRGB2 pro running at the moment. I have it on the green preset
Do you ever have any issues with the surface skimmers and shrimp/nano fish? I have a nano shrimp tank with a small HOB filter that gets annoying surface film. I’ve been considering upgrading to lily pipes with a surface skimmer, but was worried about the shrimp getting sucked in.
With the glass skimmers I don't have those issues. Only when I tried using those ''external skimmers'' like the Eheim skim 350 I got a bunch of shrimp and small fish stuck in there.

Yeah almost the same! The betta tank is 41,5x33,5x28,8 cm. Betta is doing really good! 😊
Hey MJ great video. I have those same glass lily pipes from fzone and I struggle to get the skimmer to sit just right without sucking loads of air into the filter. Any tips?
Probably your filter is a bit too powerful. See if you can reduce the flow a bit somewhere

Only if you trust the fish store. If you see a lot of dead or sick fish in the store I wouldn't do it.
