Hi! Great video. It is possible to connect the TV to the internet without having cable TV or satellite TV? I'm trying to watch my RUclips videos on TV. I have already watched several tutorials about how to make this connection, but the options presented in 0:32 do not appear to me on my TV. I am thinking that it must necessary to have a subscription TV system to be able to do that.
and for tv signal u need coaxial or hdmi out from router separately right?
I spent hours trying to figure out why my internet connection wouldn't work pulled this video up followed the video instructions and to much of my surprise it worked and now I have a connection. Thanks

I've just bought a 40 inch 6400 series which is attached to a Humax Freesat box and surround system. I have been trying to stream videos from my Samsung note 3 and Tab S to the TV and I'm having issues. Via Samsung link I can get the video aspect to stream on the TV but I can't get the sound to come through

I have un55hu9000fxza curve 4k (2014)my original one connect isn't working I ordered a SEk3500 at Ebay, however when I was trying to install, screen said I need to update first with the old one (mine is out) and few seconds later TV turned off. How can I connect my Samsung TV to the internet when it keeps telling me that I`m NOT connected to the net and yet the Wifi from the Virgin box lets me connect to the net using my computer which is upstairs ? What about if the ethernet port doesn't work on your TV and never has and when you call Samsung they say it's a known issue? But they will do nothing about. The TV isn't even a year old.

That's how it's done in the uk. In America we use routers and let the cable guy hook everything up while he's there.
What is best, wired or wireless, my router is 1 meter away from Samsung Connect box, my internet is Virgin Media 100Mbps, watch Netflix and UHD 4k moives and shows...
Wired will be consistently the best connection.

Do smart TVs still need an aerial ?
The reason I ask ..
Yesterday our bedroom TV stopped working making my wife MAD .. blamed me. It was simply plugged into the aerial and had Freeview.
As a temporary measure I suggested taking the lounge TV, but there didn't seem to be an option to select the input source for an aerial.
We are going to buy a new TV but just need to know the answer.
Maybe I am just too old, are TV aerials a thing of the past.

Type in password... Very good explanation but how do I type that in with the remote controller which does not have letters. There is no keyboard which appears onscreen. TV was working and connected fine, but suddenly lost connection and will not auto pick-up hub.
+shirts1000 I have a 55" samsung smart tv just bought it a few days ago so I am new to this but in order to type in your wifi router password you need to go to Network settings>Wifi username you have already and on your remote highlight that box,then up pops the on screen keyboard and use your remote to navigate to the letters to type in your password :)
