For 14 years all Loki would do is talk about how much he wanted the throne, that it was his birthright. At the precise moment when he wanted it the least, the throne was given to him, but it cost him his friends. The most heartbreaking way to grant his wish, his glorious purpose
So did loki became/create the yggdrasil and this how the legend of yggdrasil came to be? Since tva exists outside of time and yggdrasil is also outside of time no past, present or future. Could that be how yggdrasil came to be in the mcu? Back when thor mentioned the yggdrasil to Jane that's holding all of existence and realms together. Was that created by loki all along?
@@iamdarkphantom no, the Yggdrasil IS time, its all time was, will be, and can be. And loki now controls that
@@theultimatep1e40 yeah but how that came to be? Loki exists outside of that time. The end is the beginning and the beginning is the end. There is no time where loki is. How is it that he isn't the one who created the yggdrasil in the first place?
@@iamdarkphantomI don’t think it’s that he created it, more like he helped give it form and shape. HWR called it his Loom, Asgard called it Yiggdrasill, the TVA thought it was one Sacred timeline. It was yet is, never was yet always will be;exists. So regardless that it forms at the end, it will always lead into its new beginning; a snake biting its own tail.

Loki and Nebula development from villians to lovable heroes are so fascinating and amazing. Their journey throughtout the MCU doesnt feel forced and is one of the major highlights of the franchise
They’re apart of my top 5 favorite mcu marvel characters because of that

Why is it that the villains in the MCu currently have become more entertaining than the heroes???
I hope Thor gets to see how his brother turned out, I think he'd be proud of him.
break the space/time continuum further. original timeline Thor saw Loki get strangled.
@@DonEBrooke32 I feel like the continuum is already at the point where Thor seeing Loki again isn't going to be a big problem. Besides, it's Loki. They'd just assume he faked his death for the thousandth time.
Part of me thinks the "infinity" that gives Loki a daughter, is actually Loki.
This is kind of the last remaining character moment I want to see between the OG mcu characters. Current Thor seeing this version of loki protecting the timelines. I think that would be really beautiful

I wouldn't say the WandaVision finale was underwhelming, though
@@shimanopetermann9068 I loved WandaVision, but the last episode was definitely the worst. Sadly, it's true, this is the ONE MCU series out of all of them where the last episode wasn't a rushed CGI-riddled climax followed by overly safe resolution.

Loki - King of the Multiverse

Yess. The fact he was just listening to soundtrack from previous Thor films to catch inspiration while he was jogging and that itself reminded him of the quote from Thor 1.. it just proves that Tom has the broadest knowledge and memory in the entire MCU cast, only second to Kevin Feige himself. You can argue many things about marvel simply chasing the dollar, but once in a while, you have a passionate director and actors that want to make art, and by god you make art. Loki S2’s Ending was just melancholy beauty. A Triumph for the character Loki, a person who seemed irredeemable at the start now sitting at the chair of the cosmos, defying gravity.
Isn't it ironic The God who saved them all and gave them a chance couldn't save himself nor was given a chance

The ironic thing is god don't save them but a human and a devil did that because loki is a devil for multiverse who has attacked by him
I don't give up the possibility that he'll be free from the tree some day and finds peace after all he's done for everyone 🙏
Well I don't think that's truel. Mobius believed in him and gave him a second chance. That is the entire reason he made it all the way here. It was that one gesture of trust and acceptance that changed him.

Truth
From a villain, to a psychopath, to a prick, to a hero… *to the literal savior of the Multiverse.*
That, ladies and gentlemen is THE character arc.
Jesus who is the one and only true God and Creator came to earth 2000+ years ago to go to the cross to pay our sin debt in full. His sacrifice was sufficient to pay the penalty for the sins of the world (1 John 2:2). A created being could not pay the infinite penalty required for sin against an infinite God. Only God could pay such an infinite penalty. Only God could take on the sins of the world (2 Corinthians 5:21), die, and be resurrected, proving His victory over sin and death and that true and only God is JESUS! And He did all that because He loves us and wants to save us and have a relationship with us. JESUS is the only way to Heaven, only He can save us from sin and from hell ( Luke 5:32, John 14, Romans 6:23). Jesus is waiting for you to come to Him, He won't cast you away from Himself if you come to Him. He calls us all to repentance, He loves us and wants to save us. believe and have faith in God then the Holy Spirit will come in and lead you to repent of your sins and God will forgive you of your sins and cleanse you by the blood of Jesus and you'll get born again by His Holy Spirit and have His salvation, you will become a new creation (John 3:3-19). God bless
Yaknow what sucks the most about this ending? Nothing from a technical or creative aspect to be clear. What sucks is thematically Loki, not only in the MCU-but the character in review, has gone through monumental changes that have been so well written and paired with phenomenal acting from Tom Hiddleston. What hurts the most is he (Loki) finally understood what it felt like to have friends and family you loved, that you would do anything for just so they would be happy, healthy, and loved. Now, Loki is trapped in a universe where he will witness all the triumphs and travails, love and loss of his family and friends, but never be able to appreciate or enjoy those moments despite knowing he is the most powerful being in the galaxy, possibly the Universe. The character went from "Dominating because I can" to "Helping because I should" and SAVED THE FRIGGIN UNIVERSE(S).
Greatest ending ever for a TV show ever? Arguably, yes. I. Think. So.
Greatest Character Arc on par with Jesse Pinkman, Zuko, Pryzbylewski, and Bubbles (from the wire), and more? I think Loki sets a new standard.
I would have no problem debating for hours on end why Loki may be one of the best fictional characters put to screen and why this show is a display of some of the greatest writing you will ever hear/watch/listen to in your life.

Loki was for me the end of the era of good marvel stuff
That's what people said about Endgame. Why can't people stop being so absolutist about stuff and just admit that the MCU has highs and lows and that other stuff worth watching will come in the future? First Endgame was the last good thing, then it was No Way Home, then it was Loki, and by next month people will be saying Deadpool 3 is the last good MCU property. Just enjoy something good when it happens, stop being so pessimistic just to fit in with the cynical online crowd. People have been bellyaching for 4 years now about the MCU being "done," and it isn't, so enough of that.
All of this is coming from haters and grifters that want to profit marvel hate. If you don't like a project move on, and watch something from it that interests you.
Marvel Comics have literally always had their ups and downs and the MCU is no different. Thor 2 was cheeks, Ironman 2 was cheeks and 3 was not particularly good either. I don't get what is up with this circlejerk. Shang Chi was good. Deadpool and Wolverine was good. Especially now that they've finally slowed down production again and are taking their time with releases once more, they've been better.
Oh boy
I have literally enjoyed every movie and series that came out since Endgame with maybe the exception of Ms. Marvel and that was just because it was really not made for me. It had a specific audience and tried something new that appeals to them.
This cynicsm is just all fabricated.

What an ending. Loki, after all these years, finally realizes what being "burdened with glorious purpose" really means. His Glorious Purpose is to hold the Universe together as the Tree of Life. The Tree comes under many names, but it is in many mythologies. And, in this story, Loki literally becomes the Tree of Life. For us all. Makes me cry so much.🙏🙏🙏
Get you a homie that will sacrifice their godhood to turn the multiverse into a Yggdrasil.
Those four minutes of him realizing what needs to be done, saying goodbye to his friends, walking towards the throne, struggling to pull the timelines and finally turning around with his infinite cape surrounded by this kingly yet, saddening melody are worth more than the whole MCU series. I can only think the first moment we saw The Avengers came to be and the Infinity War finale as epic moments that are on par. But these were moments.
Loki is an arc, a complete story, a character that was belittled, frown upon and even mock before. His path not only demonstrates how someone with these traits is capable to change, to be wiser, to care and to protect, from selfishness to selflesness. Love for his friends revealed his true purpose, and in the end being praised and sitting in a glorious throne did not meant anything for him. The most powerful he became yet alone, and in spite of this, embraced his destiny fulfilled, knowing that all that matters depends on him.
Only Tom Hiddleston can be Loki my friends. We really know it. Thanks.
They seriously need better song for this scene, like a prayer maybe :) I can see the reference from that deadpool 3 movie lol.
Just watched the whole movie (series) with my son about Loki. "Loki".
Very good movie.
Finally he who remains found best variant of Loki❤
It was shown that without the loom the universes were dying. That begs the question, what sabalized the universes before the loom? I think the multiverse war destroyed whatever natural process created the timelines or, maybe he who remains sabotaged the natural mechanisms of the universe to create a reliance on his technology. Now, without something (or someone) to hold everything together, reality unravels like what we saw in the show.
It's not "without the loom", the loom was destroying timelines, not saving them. Kang straight up says it.
And after loom is destroyed we have second problem, multiversal war between Kangs. Loki takes place of the loom to prevent it.
Which begs the question, if TVA succeeds in their neutering Kangs business, will Loki be free?
4:19 Loki will eventually return.
But he will be recast because Tom Hiddleston retired from the MCU.

I like to imagine that after the conversation with Sylvie, Loki timeslipped multiple times throught different parts of his lifetime just to concemplate, enjoy the moments with his friends, his brother, and frigga, and say farewell to all of them before he decides to destroy the loom and lock himself in the end of time. This would be my personal headcannon. Loki timeslips and says farewell to Mobius, to Cassey, to B15, to Oroboros, to Thor, to Frigga. Loki timeslips just to appreciate the timeline he is about to protect.
Loki becomes Yggdrisal. I like it.
Hope if they ever make Thor 5or 6 years from now if they kill Thor off it happens in a way that this Loki can visit as a cameo in the same costume and comfort Thor in his dying moments so he isn't alone on some planet after fighting off an enemy so that others could escape kind of scenario. (IMO thats where Thors ark is headed anyway)
But can just picture a nice scene Thor realizing he has moments left and a hand on his shoulder with Loki appearing and just saying 'you're not alone for this brother I'm with you' with some other call back to the first trilogy would really cement Thors end up there with captain americas and iron mans.
Keep the cameo as quiet as possible it would be a really great way to end Thor in the current MCU
