WEWS was the first non ABC Owned & Operated/Cap Cities local station to use the interlocking circle & number to align like the bigger ABC markets at the time: NYC, CHI, LA & DET. WPVI in philly & WKBW in Buffalo had variants later on. WEWS convinced ABC to have the image to improve rating, which it did. Cleveland was market #7 at the time when Circle 5 was 1st used...
Oh for the days when I actually gave a dang about watching the local news. I miss all these people.
Jenny Crimm is such a beautiful woman, and she had the greatest personality when doing the news. I sure miss her being on the news.

I remember John Hambrick he worked for KBMT the ABC affiliate in Beaumont Texas he died of cancer RIP that was in the '70s he was with WEWS huh???!!!!
