My second favorite sea creature, after the octopus, is a cuttlefish. It has same abilities to change both skin color and skin texture to mimic reef surface underneath, but it displays more like a fish behavior, but as part of the squid family, it has a jet system for moving and to circulate the water, it can "walk" on a bottom, using it tentacles and it can sleeps completely barred in the sand. It's not as flexible as the octopus, but if it's not moving, it is as good in camouflaging itself with a chance for you to miss it. Cuttlefish are absolutely harmless to humans, fan to watch and very cute. Usually, when I watched them, they stay on the same reef area, they are very territorial and they have tendency to flash colors and leave when they feel threaten, but as they get comfortable they always come back to their favorite spot... and as I've seen, they choose the best spot on the reef.

I honestly think that Cuttlefish and Octopus etc are not of this Earth. Even scientists say it’s possible: eggs etc frozen in ice on a meteor/comet that hit our planet. Completely plausible.

The fragile beauty of life is so overwhelming sometimes and all I could do was watch.

We can only watch and learn. You did a good job. The event is recorded in your mind and thus lives on.
@@arckocsog253 generally if they've washed up their body has failed to the point they can't swim against the waves anymore, you'd just be prolonging its suffering.

Cuttlefish aren't fish they are mollusks. In fact a cuttlefish would be closer related to a butterfly than to a fish

Beyond The Water Surface At 3:20 what is that thing coming out of the coral on the left but on the right side of the coral. It wiggles and looks like it fell out of the coral. Is it just a strange looking fish that swims weird? I would say that you had a good day at aggravating cuttlefish. So cool that you got him on video doing their light show. It apparently didn’t have the same effect on you as it does on crabs. Poor crabs. All the non-fish sea creatures just love to eat them.
Its a juvenile sweetlip fish, they move like that all the time until growup.

Cuttlefish aren't fish they are mollusks. Cuttlefish are accualy closer to a butterfly than a fish because mollusks and arthropods are both protosomes.
