Was so nice to just be able to watch you work, and hear the sound of the tools. They were very consistent sounds, which I expect is a result of the actions creating them being so 2nd nature to you. My initial excitement was well deserved, great content.
I’m literally laying here in bed after a long days work as a brickie is Australia, and this video gives me nothing but joy 😂 Crazy how you can like or care for your job so much! Keep up the videos mate, been watching for years now. 🤞🏼👌🏼
You make that trowel work look so freckin' easy....When us non building idiots try it ...we take so long that our mortar is setting before we've even laid 5 bricks:)
Love it, only just started watching, but the prospect of just hearing you work without interruption, brilliant! (Just to be clear, when you explain stuff and talk that's great too).
Great video. Was a brickie for four years. Haven't been on the trowel for 25 years apart from building a couple of extensions at home. Came out of construction around 1993 at 34. Would like to get back but lost my site confidence.
Hi Stu, when laying the bed joint, do you like a little extra to clean off and use it to butter the perp. My teacher suggests taking from the board and really fill the perpend. In addition your not bending over each time.💯🖐
Hooray, no music! Much prefer your narration Stu, especially as the music is always much louder than the speech. Have to keep turning the volume up and down continually. 👍
I’m in school and I’m leaving next year and I’m wanting to do an apprenticeship in bricklaying and I’m wondering if I need to get good grades in English and maths. I’m also doing a construction class in school and metal work. Would really appreciate if you could help me out here
Hi Stu, been watching your videos for a long time. It's almost like a remedy for depression and how do you get your mortar mix so creamy looks good enough to eat lol.

Is it the plasticiser that makes the mortar like butter?
At what point do you run along the joints to 'tidy' up the mortar?
Makes it look so easy!
Good work sir
