An honest review of an apparently less than perfect motorcycle. Well done.
Honest review of the machine well done!
its a show piece with some stunts build into it.
On my 1200S I get 32mpg when I ride fast and hard in traffic but I normally sit at 42mpg and when on long rides close to 50mpg. Termi sounds great on the bike but went with the Comp Werkes and I love the sound. Get some ear plugs. Also I agree with you and everyone on the rear view mirrors. They are junk from the factory and most end up with after market on theirs. This was my first bike and only bike other than the one I used in the riding course, I have ever ridden. Fell in love with it the moment I purchased it. :-) 12000 miles in a year as a new rider. The riding modes where a very important factor for me as this was my first bike. The service interval as well. 18000 miles for your first valve inspection. Up from 7000 on the older bikes. Ducati is getting more and more user friendly. :-)
+No Basis For Comparison I'm sure with a few customisations I could make the bike suit me more, and that engine is just amazing!
I adore this bike… never felt more confident in a ducati, but I totally get what he is saying
Thank you for your very frank views on the monster. It just shows you what you think will be fantastic bike turns out not to be.
Looking forward to the next one
I noticed the rear brake was super non responsive when I test-rode one also. I'm going to try and get it tightened up when I purchase it.
+agile52 Well I hope you enjoy your Monster, seriously good fun!
agile52 ..... The rear brake is is NOT supposed to be powerful.
hola, dime la moster 1200 tienes el problema de la 821, es apoya el talón del pie derecho sobre el protector del escape, dificultando la comodidad del piloto?
Good vid, you should try the KTM 1290 ?
that place is beautiful man. what country is it? is it the countryside? very beautiful, so clean!
+2cool0 This was filmed in the UK - Kent - Ashford, which is a normal sized town. Where I started and ended the video is a brand new road leading to a new housing estate. Most of Kent is rather green, tis the Garden of England after all.
Munkeh's Motors oh that could be why. the grass and everything looked perfectly cut and the roads looked so clean and smooth haha very cool place.
What to do, buy a new 821 or a second hand 1200?
Try an Aprilia, all the Italian passion but built correctly. I recommend the Tuono V4 if you're looking at a super naked, as it will make you swear a lot.
VeeFour Will add it to my list, I've got an Aprilia dealer a few miles away. Thanks for the suggestion.
+Munkeh's Motors Yep, ride the Tuono. If you like the riding position its awesome. I had a S1000R, could not get along with it. Currently riding a MT09 which is awesome too for what it is but the Tuono is one peach of a bike. That engine and that sound :-)
+VeeFour I ride a shiver 750 currently looking for something to top it as that thing is still making me giggle after 10 months of owning it
+CarletonJohnson They do look fun, I sat on one at the dealership and thought 'mmmmm very nice'
I'll bet the Shiver is a fantastic urban bike.
+VeeFour Its a fantastic bike everywhere, It aint exactly short on power either!!!!!
So what we really have here is a review of the turn signal indicator button. Look down at your damn blinker. If it's blinking, it's on.
Good job.
+Kelly Jackson Thanks!
Hey Luke, I can't reply direct to your question as I guess you posted through google plus and your privacy settings stop me from posting to your page, but hopefully you'll see this. Yeah I definitely want to test ride the KTM 1290 Super Duke, looks like a beast of a bike!
I love mine... if you took more than 5 minutes you could have set up the display up to a personal preference.. Not seeing the blinkers? Have your eyes checked. Everyone knows the front brake on the Ducati is primary as pretty much with any bike.. Mirrors do suck which is why that's the first to be trashed..
I'm sure if I had more time with the bike I would have gotten used to it. Still had really good fun in the short time I had though. Glad you're enjoying yours!
It's not a V twin, the ducati is a L 2
+RicardoR5 Well you learn something new every day, 90 degrees with a horizontal cylinder is the Ducati L - twin.
+Munkeh's Motors we sure do, :) cheers
imagine not buying a bike because of an indicator lol
Enough with the Fucking turn signals!
He is keep on rubbing about indicator half the video. Who cares about that.
+Martin Haluska well I don't recommend my 959 panegali test ride, it's got the same bloody indicator! :D
