A lovely final effect - and thanks for all the tips! idk why, but when this video started I assumed it was a throwback TV episode from the 1970s or something. I can't put my finger on it, but it has a distinctly _retro_ feel - the lighting or audio maybe, the choice of 'lounge music', or the fact it doesn't feel like a 'real room' in a house but a studio which TV did a lot in the 70s. Anyhoo, strange tricks our brains play on us sometimes! 😂
When on a ladder..I've found that setting the paints on a table beside me makes it easy to reach them without getting up and down. I have a 4 ft ladder which works well
This isn't as easy as she makes it seem. I'm glad I only chose two colors. Notice how she only shows doing the lower half of the wall. Up and down a latter with lots of colors, paint dripping, and no place to sit anything. You will need help. If you don't apply the paint heavily, it will dry out. Going back over things after the wall paint has dried, leaves marks or layers. If your wall gets sun, you will see them. It's better not to stop and start. The edges on the woolie dry out quickly. I will not try this again. And cleaning the woolie isn't easy either.
Thanks for sharing. I think the Woolie may be great as a tool to have in my arsenal but I just do a base color and then add paint mixed with glazing medium and if you want more opaque paint but don’t want it to dry out quickly you add Flotrol to it. It’s extender so you have more time to move the paints. The glaze lets you create layers of paint.
I'm going to try this on my bathroom. I hope I can blend over the stripes that I have previously painted on the wall. I may also paint the frame just to avoid that too neat look...
probably not relevant any more but to anyone scanning comments we ordered some from benjamin moore. most places do not keep it in stock at the stores but you can go in or call over the phone and special order it =]
Drinking game: a shot everytime the word now is said. Seriously though, has anyone tried this technique in their homes? Did it give you the results you wanted? I saw a beautiful mottled green wall when out recently and thought it'd be beautiful in my own home, but I've never painted like that before. After watching some videos, I'm considering this Woolie but would like some feedback first. Thank you!
I have a dark gray accent wall that I want to repaint by using this technique. My question. Do I need to repaint the wall in a lighter color or prime it?
I think I'm putting on toooo much paint and not spreading it out enough, I keep getting stipple marks in the paint and I'm not pressing hard at all...... :(
Eggshell is sort of a gauge of surface appearance,,,,,,gloss=shiny somewhat reflective, semigloss, not as reflective,,,,,satin eggshell matte. They all pretty much determine how shiny the surface will be. Latex paint, acrylic, enamel ect all can be had with the different sheens. Latex would be my choice with the woolie. Enamel and acrylic would be difficult if not impossible to clean out of the woolie

Lmao, the video says sheepSKIN multiple times. The product page says sheepSKIN. It's not just wool, it's the skin too. That's a pretty close "haircut".
I loved doing this! It was super easy. I used three colors and it turned out so much better than I imagined

It's the music. Sounds like a Bob Ross video
They Bob Ross orchestra is in the next room throwing down some smooth segway jazz.
This video is still old from the 2000s.
Great video! Simple and to the point, thanks for the great techniques!!

Looks awesome and easy. I would like to see how it looks with more colors
Yes! Where can we see lots of color combination examples?
I wonder if this would work with a wet paint roller instead of the woolly. I’m curious.
This is fantastic and exactly what I've been looking for. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing this video

It's really not that hard. But you can't think you're going to do it like a pro the first time
Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm on the fence about it myself.

Very very very beautiful wonderful keep on carry on continue wishing you success and success
This is an awesome and easy wall technique .Thinking I might try this !
I’m going to be doing this soon and am so excited. I suck at painting neatly so I feel this may be my specialty. 🤞🏼 My hubby bought me the Wollie ❤
Nice work! Used this technique looks professional.
Beautiful! Boy did I get lucky and find your channel first thank you!
Your brilliant fabulous work
Amazing, so glad I found this channel, I shall be experimenting soon, can't wait, thankyou xx
beautiful ❤
Love it! Thank you.
I have done faux painting but it was a different technique. It had an additive like oatmeal for texture. Great for messed up wall.
What did you use?
Going to try this on an accent wall very soon - thanks!

Can I use this technique to do an ombré look?
I'm not sure if this would still help, but I've done an ombré wall with this technique and it absolutely works!
When you get up high on the wall, it would get tricky with several cans of paint, a brush and a Woolie. Very beautiful, though.
What if your wall is textured?

I have a dark gray accent wall that I want to repaint by using this technique.
My question. Do I need to repaint the wall in a lighter color or prime it?
Does anyone know what color chart she used???
Which is this material and tool, where are get this mateial lam from lndia in kerala
If I want to eliminate the texture and have it smoother but with depth, how would I do that?
Mix small amounts of paint into glazing compound.
If you're doing a large wall will drying edges be a problem?
I think I'm putting on toooo much paint and not spreading it out enough, I keep getting stipple marks in the paint and I'm not pressing hard at all...... :(
Ilove this work iampiantar from pakistan ineed this work tool plz reply meh 😊
Can this be done using epoxy floor paints?
Does this also work on cinder block ?
I'm going to try this out this weekend on rough cement columns
Does anyone in the UK know what type of paint would work over here?
Anyone tried this? how did it turn out?
😊😊😊😊😊😊
No entiendo el Inglés me entiendo las gráficas, gracias 👍🏾
Does it have to be latex? Can it be eggshell?

Can you do this with glaze also?
this lady is a goddamn genius. though i think i’ll just use a rag and let the sheep keep its skin.
You don't skin a sheep to get his wool...
@@antwanetspringhall6013 it is sheep skin, not just loose or woven wool.
It will not work like you think with a rag !! I have done this faux finish and did try a rag !!
Will give you a muddy ugly wall
It is indeed made with sheep leather with the wool still attached. Similar to the funky old wool seat covers back in the day
Sheep is already dead it doesn't care what you do with it's skin ever had pork rinds

anyone know a vegan alterative?
i came here to learn to do an accent wall...and found my future wife...she is lovely whatever her name is...😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
As she cleans the tool over the paint cans 🤦♀️
I'll find a way to do it that doesn't require killing an innocent animal.
ARE YOU SERIOUS? You don't kill an animal to get lambs wool! They HAVE TO get shaved! It's like a haircut for a human!
@@laurensmyth4994 I was under the impression it used sheepskin as well.

Can a faux finish be used on a floor?
