I recently graduated from Niagara college in Community mental health and multidiscipline. I was waiting to get my CNO 's language requirement met through this program but it's sad to tell , Niagara College is no longer giving assistance with this requirement. They won't fill the language proficiency forms .This was the only requirement remaining to get my RPN License. Now I am trying to get job as psw to meet this requirement. I was also enrolled by Inscole. Make clarifications regarding everything before you pay your fee.

These courses comes with clinical placement hours..and after finishing say Gerontology she can go for NNAS..and course will be helpful to fulfill competency gaps and evidence of practice requirements. One more thing-that will help you to decide she can start NNAS process from Philippines and after receiving advisory report and submitting to regulatory body they will let you know what are competencies and suggest you for courses to study and you can choose courses from their list Or second is she can come after choosing above said courses and these will help her to get RN eligibility as well.. Personally , I came here on student basis and started NnAS after finishing study.

@@geminiwanderer2209NNAS process can be lengthy. Sometimes it might take 6-8 months or longer from sending all the docs from your home country to the process of getting advisory report. Yes , one year will provide one year pgwp. During process she cannot work as RN because you need to be licensed to work as nurse in CA. She can work as PSW in the hospital or LTC homes as a care assistant. But PSW job is not equivalent to RN and will not count for nursing experience. But you can get reference letter for Language from employer in order to waive off language requirement and you can earn really well as a psw. Usually everyone goes for 2 year of study so that you have 3 yr of pgwp and meanwhile you can work on sending all docs from home country to NNAS and you can get your license and apply for pr in express entry. You can choose two different courses for 2 years and after finishing them will help you to get 3 yr work permit. I hope this will clear things up for you. And also If you found my videos helpful. Osce exam is competency assessment exam given by cno..these courses comes with clinical hours and able to meet those competency gaps..rest it also depends on evaluator who is doing your assessment for nursing license.

Work permit is applied after finishing your study and sure you can study for as many years you want

I'm thinking of either taking Gerontology at Sault St Marie or Chronic Disease Management at Seneca College. So, I decided to go with 1-year graduate certificate program in IEN, later continuing with another 1-year graduate certificate program in Gerontology. So, will I get 3 year PGWP in Canada.
