That store sounds right up my alley👍Johnny at Folsom..essential....love Delaney and Bonnie..thatSkye Wallace album is awesome..great find!!! Good stuff Rob❤❤👍glen
If the whole vibe of the record store is bad it can be offputting. My local knows me by name and points me towards good music and new arrivals. More like a friend really, of course I have spent a bit of money there over the years!. So that helps. Glad you had a fun day with your wife with some record digging as well. Nice one Rob.
Nice finds Rob! Great that you were able to find some good stuff at that record store you don’t love. That Folsom Prison album is in excellent shape from the looks of it. Hopefully those blind buys pay off for you. Cheers buddy, happy listening and welcome back!
Thanks Chris. Work travel is a grind. Thankfully I don't have to to it much anymore. Glad to be home with my family and my records. You and I need to do a podcast episode some day soon.
Glad you found some good records at a store you don't like! Folsom Prison is a great record. And the guitar playing is fantastic on the songs with electric guitar - Carl Perkins was there as well as Johnny's regular guitar player, Luther Perkins (no relation). Cocaine Blues and Jackson are really flat out rock and roll. I've seen a lot of Delaney & Bonnie in VC videos lately - I need to check them out.
Hi Rob, that looks a superb clean copy of Folsom Prison. I’m the same, I’ve heard it loads of time, I want a copy but never see a clean one. Interesting story about the pretentious store, I think we all know one. Mike
Thanks Matt. Your VCLT is finally boxed up and going to the post office on Tuesday. Took me a while to track down the last album for you. Im excited for you to receive it.
Good stuff my friend I really dislike record store snobs they can all F off in my opinion, far to many of them out there. That’s JC is great and a fantastic copy is a great thing. The Delaney and Bonnie should be good. God stuff my friend, talk soon :-)

Pancakes, bacon, sausage, toast and home fries….you it was!!
The Delaney and Bonnie! Right on. Great price for a craft reissue. Nice work as always Rob.
Thanks pal

@@NorthernRevolutions so looking forward to hearing these! Anticipation (by Carly Simon)!
If you have Folsom then you must also grab San Quentin, great stuff on that one as well. Enjoy those spins.

Agreed, they can piss off. Im looking forward to spinning the D&B
I recently saw that that Soul Asylum record and I passed. Maybe that was a mistake. It was a great day for you, Rob 🙂
I’ll let you know Brian. How’s the face feeling?
@@NorthernRevolutions I think it's getting better every day. Stitches come out on Wednesday 👍
A nice post breakfast outing! I guess it pays to stop into some of the duds from time to time. Any time to record shop on the work trip?
Sadly no Curtis.
Cash at Folsom is a very good live album and that is a nice copy. I don’t think I know the Strumbellas.
Hey Richie, I dont think the Strumbellas would be your kind of music.
Is the background a green screen of your basement you look added into the scene
No sir. That’s just me in my office. No trickery there. I see what you mean though. It does look that.
