  • Hello Everyone, in this video I am bringing you up to speed on the future around the shop and farm. It is time that I start to sell things in order to do more important things around here. Yes the steam engine is for sale as I have finally realized I won't have the manpower to run the sawmill with a steam engine. Other machinery for sale as well but I am almost certain it will end up in the scrap yard. A Willys F134 engine is in the test stand and will be started soon. If you have any interest in a complete engine now is the time to buy one. A couple of Willys Body tubs in partial completion are going, the CJ5 that I am dismantling is being sold, and lots of other stuff not mentioned in the video. Need to make some changes around here and this is the start of it. More stuff coming soon.

I need a front bumper and hardware for a 1954 m38a1, it was the only thing missing when i bought it. I guess the daughter who sold me the jeep didn't know where it ended up when taking care of her fathers estate. If you only have the hardware to mount it to the frame, that would work to, because i can get a bumper, but the mounting hardware is hard to find.
I feel like a relic myself, so you're not alone. The younger generation who haven't had someone older mentor them, and take time to teach them about older technology just aren't interested, I've seen a few, but the world's changed since i grew up. My grandpa taught me a lot growing up, and he was my best friend. He was a medic in wwll, and shared a lot of what he saw over the four years he served in Europe. It wasn't until the last five year's he was alive that he ever talked about it. He told me that i saved his life after he had a heart attack, and was struggling to recover. He saved me in alot of ways to, so i guess that's why I'm kind of a relic to. You aren't the only one, but there's just less of us who know what it was like before everyone started living with a phone in their hand instead of using their hands to build thing's. G-d bless.

I don't have the bumper or hardware but if you contact me at metalshaper@comcast.net I can give you some places to find everything you need. Good to know there are others like me, so when I make some T shirts I can now put 2 "last dinosaurs" on it, and not just me. Always good to hear from you....

Hi Brian, I wish you well in your quest and I thank you for the many hours of your videos that have entertained me and guided me. I am in the early throws of a Willys triage/rebuild up here in the White Mountains and will be yanking the body this fall to do frame and drivetrain restoration...water in trans and transfer etc. I am on the lookout for a nice hood and a pair of fenders for a 1948 CJ2A if you have any extras laying around. Thanks again for your sharing your knowledge with us.

I don't have any hoods for fenders left for the CJ2A's that stuff sells fast when I get it

My shop space is so very very valuable, I do not have room to take any of your things other than an engine. I'd like to talk more about one of your beautiful motors.

if you have the space don't sell them. You will quickly find out that there is not another generation that wants them. Sad but true.

Hello there. Long time viewer, recent subscriber. Thank you for all you’ve produced! This content is priceless and entirely responsible for my success in my own renovations of a cj5.
I wonder how a direct communication can be had? I am Interested in lubricants and some of what you’ve shown above as available for sale.
Is there a public e-mail I can use?
All best and please keep the invaluable info coming. I’m so appreciative.

Mr Metalshaper, I have a 4-71 Detroit Diesel with a hydraulic govenor that I use to run a chipper with. It would be a great choice to run a sawmill. In central Massachusetts.
It has not run for a few years, when last run it ran great. I ran a sawmill for 40 years. Have many sawmill related items including a brand new Simonds 52" b&f saw.
    Have enjoyed your videos

Good to know. I have two Detroit 4-53T engines that I was contemplating using. Not sure how much diesel power I am going to need compared to the Steam setup. The steam engine never lacks power and is completely different feeling than other power plants. I am in Connecticut so we are not too far from each other. Contact me at metalshaper@comcast.net

I have a `48 cj2a ...it needs a rear floor pan. A previous owner put in what looks like a section of pickup bed. No hat channel underneath just some pieces of square tubing. Do you perhaps have a floor and hat channel?

    • @metalshaperJeep
      @metalshaperJeep  20 дней назад

I don't have any single rear floor pans at this time.

I actually had been given a camelback drill press a year ago and the guy ended up giving it to someone else before I was able to go and pick it up. I am in Eastern Pa and eventually I would love to power my small machine shop with steam and am working towards that end however I am recovering from being run over by an F350 on my 1957 Harley Panhead. I was wrapped around a telephone pole and nearly lost my right leg. I am finally up on my feet and I would love to be able to save a few of those items. I would be interested in the drills, and more. Let's get in touch and we can figure out if it is possible. Thank you , John

Hi Brian, thanks for the video! Would you be interested in selling new engine parts like pistons etc? As you know I stay over in South Africa and would rather deal with someone like you who knows what brand of parts to use and not sell junk. If so what would be the best way to get hold of you? Regards Pieter.
