Scott's Jeep Scrambler CJ8 258 Cylinder Head Milling On Blockmaster 85B

In this video I am taking the time to get Scott's Jeep Scrambler CJ8 258 engine cylinder head jigged up and set up on the Blockmaster 85B Milling Machine. The 258 Jeep engine is a great engine an can last a long time. This cylinder head was way out of specifications and needed to be milled flat again. No better machine than the Storm Vulcan Blockmaster 85B. I dug out my 258 cylinder head adapter plate that is made out of aluminum and bolted it to the head before bolting it to the tilting head jig that is standard on all blockmaster machines. The head was low in the center and had just a slight twist in it, probably from a few overheat conditions at some point in this engines life. I did have to take just a hair over .010" to get this cylinder head perfectly flat again. It does take a while to set up and mill an automotive cylinder head and this one was no different. The setup is not too terrible but fine tuning the head in on the plate does take a fair amount of time. I am sure you will agree the finish is worth all the time it takes to setup.

Often wish your videos were a bit longer, but I realize that you are a busy person and have a lot of things to do.
You build such nice jeeps,
It would be great if you would just took a couple days off work and went out wheeling with one of your jeeps and made a video of it.
It sure looks like you could use a brake and some fresh air out of your shop, and it would be awesome to see you running one of your jeeps.

To put into perspective I had a single cylinder K series Kohler crank ground locally and it was $115.00.
