@@baileyryan96 it's not a terrible album at all, but it's definitely not trench lmao. trench was really really good imo, and scaled and icy just doesn't quite compare. greatest hits is just overall a better album compared to sai. but, the 37 mins i spent listening to sai definitely wasn't the worst thing i could've done with my time, yk? not a bad album, but not the best lol

Awsten really had a lot to say about this album. This is longer than the actually album and it's great. I really enjoy how much thought and effort he put into this album and I definitely think this is their Greatest Hits.

Love love love this video so much. I can’t stop rewatching it because hearing how he puts everything together is endlessly fascinating to me. Knowing his thought process and all the intricacies that go into making an album makes me appreciate everything so much more and makes relistening to the album more enjoyable

I always come back here when I'm having an anxiety attack or a mental breakdown and it always makes me feel so much better. I don't know why, but it's so easy to watch while I practice breathing. Plus it's helpful to watch something that i've seen so many times so I know what's coming and I know it's not going to trigger anything. It's always this or fandom's track by track, or the one where he paints fandom and they just help me calm down so much. Here's to hoping I can prevent a complete breakdown this time. Thanks Awsten for getting me through this shit

Amazing how awsten talked about not singing fast because he wants to rap but because he has so much to say because I'm almost certain that Tyler of TOP said the same thing before. I really see a lot of similarities between them two as artists actually

Honestly GH was my least favorite album they have put out. I do like a few songs on the front half of the album. But as it goes on I just have a hard time getting into it. Which sucks because I love their first 3 albums. Numb and Lowkey As Hell are a couple of the ones I like. I just like their guitar driven more rock sounding songs. At a certain point this just felt like Awsten messing around in his room, and not the full bands effort. Which makes sense given the time it was made. I just don't vibe with most of it. But I am happy some people are able to enjoy it. Btw still love the tone their real drums have. Best drum tone I have heard recently. Props to Awsten for putting together this album during covid, still a big fan and excited for the future of the band :)
yeahh this is a good summary of my opinion on it too!! i'm so emotionally attached to this era as a whole - the photoshoots, aesthetics, and conceptual themes are subliminal - but as an album itself, it falls weak in a lot of places. there are flashes of brilliance including some of my favorite parx tracks of all time, but somehow there are ALSO the worst songs they have ever released imo. so weird.

i saw and heard magnetic live about a month ago and during the outro i stood in shock. the outro has always been my favorite part of magnetic and you could feel the bass and the drums in your chest and it was absolutely insane.

hey, this was released on my birthday, sweet. anyway i think that breakdowns like this are neat. they clarify meanings of songs for those mfs who are always making such a conspiracy about everything. things don't always have to be concrete i guess, some people choose not to watch interviews like this because they just want the open ended- ness or whatever the fuck; they wanna leave it up to interpretation, sometimes just so they can relate to it themselves and other times- well idk there could be a multitude of reasons. it's cool to hear his thoughts and kind of like a behind the scenes on how the album was made. i love hearing how excited he is about his own music, i mean i suppose you should be excited about the shit that YOU make, but it is adorable.

it must be so easy being geoff and otto in this band, seems like all they have to do is track drums and guitar in the studio lmao. Awsten really seems to spearhead all the songwriting, lyrics and artistic direction of Waterparks.
yeah at this point waterparks seems more and more like an awsten knight solo project and its kinda sad. it'd be cool if we got to see more of geoff and otto and how they contribute to the band
to be fair, geoff has a kid so he’s not gonna have as much time to do this, otto lives on a farm and doesn’t use the internet, and none of them live near eachother
