Great video and this really helped me with the install. The written instructions are nice, but seeing it done is way better. Thanks for putting this together!
Do you have side to side play fairly easily? Installed mine today. A lot shorter and very secure going into gears but going side to side feels a bit funny.
Thanks! But no, I wouldn't say you are at a higher risk of grinding gears. The throw isn't "unbelievably" short by any means. It is a reduction, but even at the highest reduction it feels pretty natural for the car. You can always play with the height of the shift knob a little to give yourself a little more or less throw as well. What I did notice was the change in gate spacing - I would find myself hitting the gate instead of the gear when going from gears 2-3 or 4-5, but a couple of days getting used to the difference was all it took to get back to having my shifting be second nature.
Was your shifter cable bending when you installed it with the hybrid short shifter? I had to force my cable in the hybrid shifter and its bending a little. Or else it wouldn’t had fit at all. Is that normal?
I can't say for sure without seeing the parts. I know it took a little effort to get my cables to line back up, and it was a little stiff at first though while things settled into the new location. Hope this helps!
My type r 2021 have issues with the shifter Honda dealer don’t want to fix on RUclips more people have send problem is not my 100 type r with the problem I bay the shifter but I don’t installed I don’t want los the warranty
Acuity instruments got Gate spacing, throw adjustment, knob height can be adjusted. Even little things like their base bushings are different and have o-rings fasteners to unsure its solid af with no play. Acuity shifter has about twice the amount of adjustment also.

Nice install video! would you say its easier to grind gears if you're not careful shifting into gear with this mod?

The acuity instruments short shifter is and will still be the superior short shifter.
Different strokes for different folks :)

where did you get the civic type r sticker on the center console just before the shifter?
Do you mean the production number plate? If s, all of these cars come with it stock.
bshatto3111 ohh. I saw someone had it for the SI and didn’t know it came factory with type R. Thanks!
Can the height be adjusted ?
Yes, the rod the shift knob installs on can adjust up and down.
Thanks for the vid. Looking forward to receiving mine. Out of curiosity, are you running a varis wing?
No problem! And nope, still on the stock wing. Kind of drooling over the recently announced Spoon wing though.
Look like they come prewired for rear heated seats
Anyone have any experience with this compared to the acuity shifter?
Yes, the acuity short shifter is handsdown better
@@Smilesperlap how so and in what ways

@@Smilesperlap Sweet, thanks for that.
You can compare them on the website. The price difference is because it comes with hardware and a better design.
Lol. Skipped install. Smh
