This is a really good win for the ladies.

BYU hits better in-system than WSU does (cf. 2022). BYU has been doing this for several years, while this year's WSU is still learning slide timing & set location.
WSU ended set 1 on a run of 4 errors, plus served flat long 5 times.
From set 2 on, WSU shifted to short and bottom-dropping serves to mid-court, and BYU was out of system for nearly the rest of the match, plus we missed fewer serves long.
BYU's S Bower had to sprint 3-6 steps on many passes, which kept their tremendous MBs and OPP in check (McEwan-Llarenas + Lee + Prior = 16k).
Livingston (21k .341) still hit over the top of our block, but in a 1.5-pin OH duel, we have two OHs (Isanovic 20k .417, Timmer 21k .313), and equal 16k from Jehlárová + Ryan + Radakovic.
CotM (Coach of the Match) is that guy with the serving chart clipboard!📋
Looking further back, WSU was preseason good, until Drake (09/01) lifted their speed of defense to speed of game and stomped us in set 3.
Then we raised our speed of thought to the speed of Drake, and we've been fast and sharp ever since.
