Let’s go walkabout around The Island Hotel Gouves Crete

- The Island Hotel situated on the coast at Gouves just east of Heraklion is an adults only Hotel.
There are 3 pools a Spa and other facilities, access to the beach is just across a quiet road.
There are plenty of places to eat around the outside of the hotel for those that come just on a bed and breakfast basis and one we recommend just up the road from the hotel is The Island Restaurant.

Great vid , we were here 10 years ago although there was not many places to eat and drink at that time , we have booked for august after watching some other vids, there seems to be a lot more there now, and the street where the shops were, just off the beach road about a mile and a bit from the hotel looks very busy now with more shops and bars etc.

@@TerryEdge-w9r it’s a lovely hotel but we still prefer Paphos Cyprus, it’s each to their own and where enjoy the best, we have been going to Paphos since 2009 but we thought we would give Crete a try 😊 Andy

We have been looking at your videos because you know and visit all the places we know both here and crete including Gouves. Spooky! In fact we have just returned from crete where we visited Gouves as well as Elounda etc. Glad you like it too.

@Ness and Andy’s Travels: UK & Beyond We haven't stayed at the island hotel but we know it and it looks very nice. The no kids rule is very appealing too especially seeing how many were flying out in term time when people are trying to get away from the little....... 😄
@@ricardoroberto7054 🤣🤣 That's what appealed to us, it was Nessies first time in Crete but i have been a couple of times before, we normally go to Cyprus every September but she wanted to give Crete a try.
