But why do that when you can run multiple games on one flash drive alone? It would just be messy to have a whole bunch a flashdrives for seperate games each. Plus digital buying is gonna be better anyways cause who wants to wait 2 days on they amazon package
@@primeoctober As opposed to having a whole bunch of discs that take up even more space but can only hold about 50 GB of data? Thumbdrives are smaller and can hold over 500 GB of data. And regarding waiting 2 days for a package, you can always just pre-order the game at the store and pick it up on launch day and take it home immediately.
@@DigitalWraith The real issue is the fact that flash drives are easily more expensive than disk not to mention that flash drives do indeed have a failure rate higher than disk. Perhaps in the future when flash drives become cheaper and more advanced, they will take over the gaming company. Plus when you think about it theoretically you should be able to use the flash drives to game on a pc as well as a console, meaning that you wouldn't have to buy two copies of the same game if you wanted a pc/console version.
I've playing resident evil 3 remake on my 64gb USB flash drive and don't noticed much performance issue even with Reshade used. So, you can play any portable games on it.
Hi, I wanted to ask if you just move the game files and exe onto a flash drive and then click on it as usual, or is there any additional software to run it?
If you download the game it will go down. But if you're talking about playing the game when it's already installed, it won't go down unless there's an update
I think most of it has to do with the game like skyrim if it is cpu hungry then yes a flash or ssd would be better because they plug directly into the pci express lanes where a hdd requires specific read and writes from the ram ... The same idea applies to smart phones where the ram is not needed because it can use flash nand as a type of ram ...
i have a piece of shit laptop with very low storage capacity, i was wondering if i could use a flash drive to substitute for more space so i can download games on it, I know i should get a better pc but this is all i got for now and can't afford 100's on a gaming laptop/desktop. do i need room on the actual computer to play these games? Or does the flash drive kind of substitute for the lack of space on my pc?
So, I can download a game onto flash drive and then load it onto a computer? Do I need to install the game into the computer or can I just play straight from the flashdrive? Thank you
I have a 128GB flash drive I bought recently, i am wondering if it would be possible to run the game off the flash drive and pc combined. My laptop doesn't have a lot of space so would there be a way to put the files on the flash drive and then have the computer run them even tho its not technically installed on the computer?
@@null301_ yeah ita just that the laptop didn't have much room. Some games did work on it but other games required computer files only on steam. Glad to say I've built my own pc now and have 2tb of storage and a 500gb ssd:)
Hi Hoosier, I have a gaming laptop that has Elder Scrolls Online on it currently. It doesn't have the 100gb needed to also install Fallout 76 mmo on it. Can I buy a 128gb flash drive USB and it'll run smoothly, or do I need the SSD variety? Thanks for your advice, James.
Hey man ypur amazing i got a shitty levono ideapad 11os wit a 28 gig hdd an 2gig ssd ddr3 i bought a flash drive 2 play apex legends and i downloading it also im like homeless/ living by my dad on the outside and i get wifi from ppl houses &/or businesses so im always on the go for now this is all i can do lol i had to crack ame files and get .dill an manually install it to sys 32 an shit but its worth it

If I have full storage on my Xbox can I have another game like gta? Or do I have to delete another game and just install the game? If so what’s the point?
.......... video starts at 2:58. Just to help yall
Thx
Thanks bro ❤
Perhaps game companies should sell games on flash drives instead of disks.
Honestly a good idea

This is great. Thanks for posting. I hope you would consider doing another video testing older USB standards. Just to see what happens.
one question, if u play a game on a flash drive does use GB, like if you play the game, will your GB go down?

You need to install it again but shorter installation because its already there

When I mean run Fallout 76 from the USB or SSD? If it doesnt matter I'd like to do the cheaper option.
I think you'd be okay with the flash drive, but since I don't have Fallout 76 there's no way for me to be 100% sure.

Where can I buy Flash drive with games loaded on the drive to play on ipad
Can you try downloading gta iv for pc on a flashdrive on 2024??
Can you ?
the third reason is not being allowed to download games on a work laptop so you use a usb stick instead
My computer has crappy storage, I wanna just buy a 1TB flash drive and store the games that I rarely play on it
Same bro did you go with it ?

bro i’m try to play GTA 5 because i got a home laptop but i just have to try to download it
Its not work for me 🙄
Is there a strain factor on the flash drive with continued gaming use? 😳. Probably.. 🤔... I'll still go for a ' safer' ssd...
Not really because it’s very similar to a ssd by using flash memory but he’s there is wear and tear but that’s on every drive
Now, will playing a game like doom eternal cause it to drop frames? i don't have it but i just was wondering for a bud.
I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't as it would cache the game in ram and gpu memory it should just have longer load times for levels.
